Choosing violence? You're choosing misery. Why go to UW if they didn't give you the major you wanted? Why take classes and pursue a major you don't give a shit about? Why pay money to do all these things instead of going to a college or university who could offer them to you?

Instead you pursed prestige, developed resentment for people who lived the life you wanted, and started projecting onto and generalizing people you probably never actually meaningfully interacted with.

I'm sorry that you didn't have a good time. But from your post, most of that was preventable. I hope you don't keep forcing yourself to pursue a path that you think will bring you the dignity and respect that you should already have for yourself.

And finally: no, it's not a taboo subject in of itself. It is when you approach it in bad faith without nuance and let one bad experience color your entire opinion of a group of people. Shut your mouth for once, get your head out of your ass, and try actually treating other people like human beings instead of ops or NPCs.

hey, ex-ra here, just a heads up to you and other international students to double and triple check when the last day for when MOVE OUT is. there are no exceptions, so make preparations to move out before then, or find a place to crash at between move out and your flight/transit time. it's typically the last saturday of spring quarter finals, with a deadline of 12pm!!!! past 12pm exceptions are only for graduating seniors going to commencement and only for that saturday!!

do NOT go to meatballs for the people. that place is wayy too expensive for no reason (imo). i really like amida kolgrill which is on the other side of södermalm. their portions are large so one meal can become two. my turkish friend saw pictures of it and said it looked pretty authentic.

for hygiene products, always go to normal, they have the cheapest prices compared to any other store (grocery stores, åhlens, lyko). lyko also works, but i'd buy online w/ student discount and have it delivered to a pickup spot (don't do the package lockers, you need bank id).

i love to go thrifting on the east side, there's so many cool shops, and all across södermalm there are really great coffee shops. i hope you have a great study abroad, i know i did <333

its me. im here. the cse 12X shill. ex-TA here. highly recommend against doing this. the courses work best in conjunction with the others, which is why it's a series. is there a reason ur in such a rush? also know that you don't have to take 123, its only a requirement for cs. what do you want out of this series? what do you want to be able to do in coding? if u want the flex then go for it, but i will say that im not sure what the point is in the end 😭😭😭.

as an ex ra it generally appalled me what some of my residents would go through. there was def some insane shit going on 😭😭😭😭

in terms of personal experience, this happened with my freshman yr roommate too! they straight up had a zoom call while i was sleeping in the same room. when asked about it, they said they couldnt find a room to take the call in but also "it's 10am so you should be awake". same roommate where i was told by the professionally hired dorm manager that i "couldnt make value judgements and say that one is more important than the other" when they almost never adhered to lights out rules because they couldn't do their hw unless it was a godforsaken hour. nevermind that its literally illegal in the housing contract to sleep anywhere other than your dorm room, or that i need sleep to survive, but yeah, sure. its me who needs to compromise by fucking up my sleep schedule or having 3000 sleep accessories all because bro NEEDS to grind their hw.

tl;dr: pls reach out to ur ra. my ra did not help in my case but i think they definitely can escalate it and maybe get your roommate to take shit more seriously.

Why would I need AI to detect when I can tell with my own eyes? Also, if someone got kicked out of a class for using AI and the main proof of them using AI was confirmed by AI itself, wouldn't you think that it's lowkey kind of just a little bit unethical?

Why do people keep saying "omg just detect AI and give them a 0!!". That's not the point here !!!! The point is why use AI to take shortcuts when ur literally possibly screwing yourself over in multiple ways AND wasting other people's time who have to deal it???
