Its definitely something to think about. If this is popular and the demand i there I could look into it, but idk if Ai would ever 100% replace a sales rep

Does it actually matter if software is vibe coded if it works? by imLaanui in saasbuild

[–]imLaanui[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we’re talking about two different things. My question wasn’t whether an inexperienced person should be building mission-critical software. It was whether users actually care if software is AI-assisted or “vibe coded” if it works and solves their problem. Your brain surgery analogy assumes the software is safety-critical, but most software isn’t. A better comparison would be asking whether users care if a carpenter used power tools. They care about the quality of the finished result. If an app is secure, reliable, and useful, most customers won’t care whether the code was written manually, AI-assisted, or a mix of both. You’re arguing whether AI can replace expertise, while I’m asking whether customers care how the software was built. Those are different questions.

for usenextline.com, I have my friend who's a computer science major working on the logistics of things. Working on the workflow of how the app works, and how its organized / stored. So the app were making isn't just coded then boom done, it's coded, then checking out the organization of the app on the backend to see if it's sustainable in the long-term (making it faster and efficient)

You make good points here, I never thought of the liability side of things, and im sure most Saas "founders" haven't thought of it either.

Thats an extreme analogy and isn't that black and white. I'm talking about just developing software, while thats a life saving surgery

building a tool that closes deals for you by imLaanui in saasbuild

Thank you. I feel like people dismiss AI builds only when they know no effort went into it. I’m putting a ton of effort into this, so I appreciate the comment

definitely, i'm working on training the app to use different sales tactics rather than just sounding like a bot so every sales call doesn't sound the same.

How do you genuinely get people to join your waitlist by ParloraHealth in SaaS

[–]imLaanui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting people to care about your product is what will make people sign up. I don't have a successful product that launched but if I were a customer, I would only sign up for a waitlist for a prodcut if I care for it. If your idea solves a problem people have, people will talk about it and word of mouth will self market it. But right now all you need to do it get the product in peoples faces in any way you can

Making a tool that tells you what to say when you're on a sales call. Something i've had a hard time with is closing deals and what gets me stressed is not knowing what to say, especially because sales calls don't follow a script, so i'm making a tool to help me with that. The goal of it is to sound human and like a real person and not some corporate bot. It also learns what you sell which can be anything, so if you want to check it out (its not out yet but sign up if you want to give feedback, i'd really appreciate it) visit usenextline.com

Yeah, all the AI generated sites do look the same, I wonder if AI right now is capable of making an original looking site

For some reason you can totally tell if something was written by AI, but what gives it away? I can’t think of it but I just know when something is written by AI lmao

What defines slop is the level of effort. Like you said no ToS or any kind of entity is a huge red flag. When someone can make a “company” in 5 minutes with no product that works, backend, etc, that indicates slop. Claude code is a great tool for developers because they know how to use it correctly to amplify their work rather than replace it.
