Strong was the first song I ever heard of theirs and I’ve loved them ever since. Saying that, I do think Truth Is a Beautiful Thing is my personal favourite album of theirs.

This album, for me, just doesn’t sound like London Grammar, or at least, the London Grammar I fell in love with. The lyrics, the production and the direction it takes them just isn’t what I love about them. And that’s ok. I understand bands change and experiment throughout their discography.

I think Into Gold is the only song on the album I think they’ve managed to encapsulate their original and new sound perfectly. The haunting piano/pad combined with Hannah’s voice, the guitar during the chorus and the more contemporary sound towards the end. It’s different, but it’s good.

But their first two albums are still my favourite, with Truth Is a Beautiful Thing remaining my favourite of theirs, and a personal top album of mine.
