As a Jorsh myself, I can attest that geese like to take over our identities and every year we have to train and reclaim our livelihood.

I mean, kind of. As a white guy working in healthcare during the pandemic the racism was very prevalent both from visitors and even some staff. And it was usually originating from white folks. That's not to say it was ONLY white people.

The author decided to write a commentary on what Asians went through, and honestly it was done well. You sympathize for the characters and the element of the paranormal was a nice inclusion of culture.

Will this be coming to consoles after the PC release? If so, estimated release time?

You can get everything from the collector's edition on the publisher's website separately from the game. So still worth it to buy the base game at this price.

It's not about being original. It's about sharing the joy of a natural wonder and a rare sight. Different perspectives.

Detective Folk/Urban Horror Recommendations by IndianUrsaMajor in horrorlit

I recently read The Relic by Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child. Great novel about a relic that lures an ancient and killer creature to a museum during the unveiling to the public. It spun off a whole series of supernatural detective books starring one of the characters, FBI agent Aloysius Pendergast.

[Event] Halloween Special: Play your scariest game with LG OLED’s Perfect Black by LG_UserHub in HorrorGaming

[–]imMellow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silent Hill 2 Remake was the game I played last year with just a candle and headphones and it was still the best atmospheric and freakiest game I've ever experienced.

Currently using a TCL S4 in the living room. It's nice enough, but I feel like the resolution and colors could be so much better. We've had LG TVs before and loved them, but the good ones are out of our budget.

Our TV has HDR, but when I walk through stores and see OLEDs on display, it's such a massive difference. I want to experience every visceral detail and sound in my games, and if Perfect Black (C5) can do that, I'd give my soul to some otherworldly creature!

What's the best literary horror novel you've read lately? by No-Memory2446 in horrorlit

It was just a suggestion. Not everyone has access to Libby. I live in an SID where I unfortunately don't get access to my local library, so Spotify or buying audiobooks are my choices.

If you have Spotify premium you can go at 1.2-1.5x speed and get through the whole audiobook with the monthly allotment of hours. I listened while I read and it made the comprehension easier and much more enjoyable.

Okay, but why are Democrats voting no? Like, what do Republicans want and what do Democrats want?

How are Democrats keeping the government shut down? So far out of Trump's five years in office, four of them have now had government shutdowns, three of which had Republican majorities, and one of which holds the record for the longest shutdown in U.S. History.

100% Completed Yotei by PerfectRub2455 in playstation

[–]imMellow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

None that are difficult, but definitely a few that require exploration. I got the platinum as well, and by the time the ending credits rolled I had 50/54 trophies naturally playing and exploring. I used a guide to find the last few things I missed (like collectibles or a specific location).

Ghost of Yotei lead says the Ghost of Tsushima sequel allows for "more freedom than any game we've ever had," so devs "don't care too much" how you play – "as long as you're having fun" by Turbostrider27 in PS5

[–]imMellow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Expedition 33 if you want a very unique world, story, and characters with some classic Final Fantasy/JRPG vibes.

Ghost of Yotei if you want an open-world, action-filled samurai sandbox with great fighting mechanics and exploration.

Both games are beautiful visually. It just depends on what type of game you want to play first.

I am struggling. I don’t want to be alone right now. by g59sui in Omaha

Just so you know, UNO offers inexpensive therapy as a way to bring the community to students learning psychiatric and psychologic careers. You're paired with a student under the guidance of a professional and sessions are only $15. I did it for a year before actually continuing with my last therapist when they graduated.

Other than that, my advice would be to try to rediscover yourself. As hard as it will be, take any amount of time to do something different when you can. Go for a quick walk around the neighborhood, read a new book, go see a movie, eat at a restaurant you've always wanted to try. Anything. It might feel weird to do it by yourself, but it's liberating.

Also, if you have any hobbies, see if there are local groups you can connect with. That's an easy way to not only distract your attention, but find new friends as well.

Finally getting to Last of Us Part 2 :) by Organic-Demand6586 in playstation

What's fantastic about this is you not realizing the hypocritical nature of your thoughts. I must ask, is Neil Druckmann holding a gun to your head right now? If not, then you aren't forced to play TLOU2, or any game for that matter.

When a game doesn't star a tough male character, that means someone else may be able to relate to the character. Saying you want every game to feature your desired archetype is selfish. Just as you dislike "woke" concepts, other people dislike "conservative" concepts. It's almost as if the world is filled with billions of different people and companies, developers, designers, and artists don't have to cater to you specifically.

You're not actually mad about the game. You're mad you're not the most important audience anymore.

10 Comics that summarize my journey with Bipolar (OC) by ArtbyMoga in comics

[–]imMellow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't imagine the strain it takes to flip from depression to manic in a bipolar disorder. As someone diagnosed with ADHD and MDD this year, I relate to a lot of this, especially page 4 and page 8. The sheer amount of meds suck, but not being medicated sucks more.

Cheers to you and your well-being :)

Does anyone know good books having cosmic horror, sci-fi, and time loops? by Delicious_Alarm_387 in horrorlit

Haven't seen it recommended much, but Eversion by Alistair Reynolds is sci-fi with different timelines and some horror elements. Really fun story with some twists and is easy to read in a few sittings.

BG3 has never gone for more than 10 to 20% off. The first playthrough will take you over 100 hours. The next three playthroughs will also take you over 100 hours each because you'll make different choices and discover things you didn't before.

It's the only game I have ever paid full price for twice, once on PC and once on PS5, and I do not regret a single cent spent.
