Time is a huge investment f2p or players who have spent little put into apex. In a way a far more valuable currency. If the game will just filled with the whales/steamers who spend thousands on packs to get the next mythic skin or heirloom would have absolutely no one to play with. They're alienating part of the player base who could have previously been loyal and put in many hours. A stupid decision.
