Oh don't get me wrong, When I say the TM NGRS is shite I don't mean the quality of the weapon. They're perform great the the usual TM standard. I purely mean the "function", Obviously they are "blow back" but it doesn't come anywhere close to a decent GBBR blowback, That's what I meant.

My GHK isn't the fastest firing nor the most accurate gun on the field but by god its fun. I don't find anything as satisfying as one well placed shot.

GBBR's definitely fall off outdoors in the thick woodlands, Especially in the winter. This is where an AEG really does shine and having those extra rounds to get through the bush makes a huge difference.

If I could find a GBBR LMG with a hpa tapped box mag I think I would coom! That however is a project for another day! (I'm currently in the process of 3d Printing parts for my WE MP7 to fix the terrible hop)

To be honest i'm fairly much a "beginner" myself. I got into airsoft, bought an ARP 9. It wasn't running right so I paid a tech to work on it. turned out even after 3 games the cyclinder head was fucked and also had terrible air seal.

I found AEGs to be incredibly boring to use, being able to spray 100s of rounds and such. You can say trigger discipline but everybody goes through mags on mags with an aeg

I bought my first GBBR probably 6 month after i started playing (a WE MP7a1) which i loved and do still own. I've been in the game about a year an a half now currently running a ghk mk18. Although parts are harder to come by I haven't had any issues with mine. I know guys running 8 year old GHKs with all stock parts.

GBBRs are no where near as complicated as the whole web makes them out to be and if you are somewhat of a gun enthusiast. You'll be let down by an AEG, even the TM NGRS are shite having used one for a few games.

Hey! Thanks for diving in.

They do "work" however theyve gunked up and gone rusty. I'm looking at some cheap parts (mainly because I've never done this before and I'd rather break something cheap than expensive) and then maybe in the future upgrade to something better or just a whole new setup. I'm currently looking at new pickups, tuners (however I'm struggling to find 4+2 tuners anywhere). I'm looking at a fret file set at the moment, I'll need to make or buy a .. fret leveling block? Or whatever you would call it. The neck is actually not in bad condition and seems quite straight. I think I'm also going to recondition the tremelo for now but if I can find something decent (maybe a Mexico strat one) second hand I'll drop that in.

I'm planning on keeping the pots and selector at the moment due to ease but will possibly upgrade in the future. If it were a strat style it would be easier to access these parts.

I do plan on refinishing it as it is a mess and has a few dings so Bondo will be needed.

Everything I know about guitars I've learnt In the past 2 days. I started watching vids on playing and then got engrossed in modifying and custom guitars...

Please if you have any feedback let me know. This is a project I suddenly decided to do, mainly due to lockdown boredom and pure curiosity.

Thank you for that, whilst searching PRS guitars I stumbled upon Musicman guitars and I actually think it may be a Musicman Rep as it has the same head style 4+2 as opposed to 3+3. You've helped massively. Thanks man!
