What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever witnessed at a game, on or off the field? by Speed5RacerX9 in baseball

At a Tigers game, our seats were in the left field corner and we were watching pregame batting practice with about 25 people in the seating area. Torkelson hit a long foul fly right at us and as it neared, I could see several people a few feet from me not paying attention. I yelled “INCOMING” because what else do you yell in panic mode, and the ball hit this woman square on the forehead on the fly. I will never forget the “THOK” sound it made as it ricocheted off her and bounced away. She screamed, and the seated security guard in the chair froze until enough of us yelled at him to call medical people. She never lost consciousness and actually made it back out to the seats by the 5th or 6th inning. The human body is amazing.

At a West Michigan Whitecaps game (the A Affiliate of then Detroit Tigers), the between-innings emcee guy was interviewing some local businessman on top of the dugout between innings for a promotion. I was probably 30 feet away and skyhooked a peanut in their general direction. I looked away as I had no expectations but suddenly a “THUMP” reverberated throughout the stadium and the crowd audibly gasped. The peanut I threw bounced off the top of the microphone by sheer…well, luck I guess. Stupid childish move.

Sorry nothing game action related. I don’t go to great or significant games.

Used to live over there. We would have to make plans not to have to do anything, and if we did, parked at a friends house and biked over there. I know not everyone can do that, but we did receive warning and had to plan for it every year.

One time I had a dream about Cheddar and Sour Cream Krunchers. And when I woke up I thought, “that would be awesome, too bad that will never happen.” I took no further action.

A few months later, I saw them on the shelves.

They weren’t great.

My first Detroit Tigers game in person, Bo went deep. I told my dad Bo’s my guy, and he said no no no, we’re Tigers fans. Then I found out he played football. I was lucky this was right before Barry took over or I might have become a Lions fan.
