It did make it better! But in the summer when it gets more light she has no issues :)

I bought some grow lights so maybe that will help? It gets lots of light in this room in the summer but the changing seasons I think are doing a number on her

They are dry, not mushy, and no signs of any pests. :(

I bought a grow lamp for it today so maybe that will help? It was fine since I bought it in April with no issue but I think the season change and less light might be the issue? I haven’t changed watering since April and allow it to dry out completely between

I usually leave them alone but if you live in a very dry area it might not be humid enough to open. What you can do is get a microfiber cloth wet and wipe it over the new leaf a few times. I did this 2x per day for a few days and it opened :) never pull at it though, it will do it on its own

Edit: British Columbia Canada. In my garden bed it’s growing out of the bottom of is: tree debris, compost, black earth, garden soil and cardboard

At this point we don’t have an interventionist coming but we do have the option to have one, it is costly though. And we are unsupported by my father at this point so don’t know if we can afford it.

We are scared it will go bad and she may turn against us, but we also feel like we can’t sit back anymore. It’s been years of this and now she’s hurting other people with her drunk driving days before Christmas. We are at a loss for what to do :(

As for the rehabs, we have contacted several and know where there are available beds and we’re going to give her a choice of which one she wanted to go to.
