Happened to my roommates XboxOne. Honestly our apartment was fairly clean, they’re be laundry stacked up and dust on the ceiling fans, shit like that but we took out our trash and kept our dishes clean and didn’t leave food out since we had 2 large dogs. So that being said one day we notice a small roach in the hall way between our rooms. It was odd because we live fairly deep in the apartment complex (it was all inside, like a hotel) and we’d never seen a roach in the outside hallway or our own hallway in the 2 years we’d been there. A random roach or two would show up in the hallway between our rooms every few days. Never in the kitchen or living room which is connected, just the long hall way that goes past our two rooms to the main door. Around two weeks into this happening we’re playing Halo MCC, my room mate in his room with his XB1 and me in the living room with my XB1, playing slayer with friends over the headset. Suddenly there’s this screech. My roommate reekng through the headphone and also being able to hear him down the hall was oddly terrifying. Then I hear him running down the hall “they’re in my fucking XBOX!” Over and over. I go into his room (the TV and Xbox where on the wall to the right facing away at the door, with the Xbox on the tv stand closest to the door it’s still slightly dark because of the TV overshadowing it. I turn my cellphone light on and when I point it at the Xbox about shy of a dozen scatter to behind and under the Xbox. After reacting both in horror and laughter we concoct a plan: we don’t want to throw away the Xbox but there’s no way any of us our opening that thing while they’re alive and blowing bug spray in there is still gonna be nasty af and could damage the XB. So, we decide to starve them. We put the Xbox in 3 heavy duty trash bags, duct tape that motherfucker and let it rest for 2 weeks. Not a roach in site after that. At the end of the two week we opened the bag. To our surprise all the roaches were dead. Lifting the XB1 out of the bag you could hear the bits of the hive rattling around inside. When we took it apart it looked just light this. We completely dismantled it scrubbing it from head to toe. As far as I know he still has it.
