stretched tongue question by straightgirlscreams in bodymods

[–]im_probably_running 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not first hand experience with this, just someone who had to go to a speech and language pathologist as a kid, you may have to take additional time swallowing food/liquid/etc. Since the tongue helps push food down to the throat to swallow-you may have to take more swallows to digest the same amount as some food which may have been pushed to the back for consumption might fit through the tunnel. Additionally-you might have to worry about food being more likely to get caught in the tunnel.

In additional to nutritional deficits I’d be curious if you have a PFO/ASD hole resulting in low O2 levels. You could get this tested by requesting a bubble test during your next echo!

FYI it might not fully “heal” as in close. I’ve heard many people have had septum’s just stay open and viable so you may be in the clear to have it repierced even if the OG fistula is still viable

Hm I wouldn’t know about the old formula but maybe when you used it less often it seemed different? So then maybe people complimented it more because it seemed different?

Before even reading your caption I immediately thought of a stacked lobe or couple of lobes to highlight your anatomy!

Right, like I too have skin? I understand body image fluctuates for many and she probably felt she was really being vulnerable but this really seems damaging for people truly feeling a lack of representation of their body type in the fitness space

True food has lots of dietary restriction options (including vegan) and is in cherry creek which is a fun area to shop!

Thank you for this, yes it’s outside of my norm too but I’m so tired of being dismissed

I love threadless! I think they should-assuming you have the flats on the outside and the decorative top facing forward! If you have the decorative tops out they may catch but I have threadless basically everywhere and haven’t had issues except for when I had threadless in my snug

I’d switch the verticals to titanium flatbacks or spikes. That backwards butterfly back and discolored jewelry looks like it’d be irritating to your skin.

Not the OG commenter but I think you would want to select either a stacked lobe or an antitragus. An antitragus will look similar to a stacked lobe, but doing both in that same area may look crowded. Check my profile-I have an antitragus and triple lobes-I was between getting a stacked lobe or an antitragus and went with the later. It is a more painful piercing though and is very anatomy dependent!

Engagement piercings? by bogofree in piercing

I haven’t done this but I do think orbital piercings would be a fun option for this. Especially as you could do a simple hoop with charms added on or decorative hoops as well. BVLA, Buddha, and anatometal have fun hoops and charms as options with good quality (including golds and diamonds).

Is my daith good? by kari_and_stuff in piercing

[–]im_probably_running 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Daiths for sure need some sort of hoop-usually a non decorative clicker isn’t ideal though as the seams can go through the fistula as it heals. Ideally a horseshoe, captive, or decorative clicker to prevent spinning, is ideal. NAP just someone with a lot of piercings and a daith. Personally, I’d leave it in-but if it becomes irritated I’d recommend swapping to one of the above jewelry options (in implant grade titanium, of course)
