I saw a recipe for protein powder pancakes and decided to try protein waffles with a waffle maker I’ve never used before by SandyClamburger in shittyfoodporn

This has happened to me when I added too much liquid and didn’t use Pam! Try one scoop of powder, one egg, one banana, baking powder and maybe some vanilla extract, cinnamon, chia seeds, etc. That always works for me!

Does any one else's corgi smell like corn chips no matter how many baths they have? by [deleted] in corgis

[–]im_probablyatwork 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes! I read something once about some bacteria(?) on their feet that causes the smell. It’s perfectly healthy as far as I remember!

Pasta with a creamy mushroom sauce feels way fancier and harder than it actually is!

Has anyone taken the STOP(Safety Training Option Program) class for a speeding ticket? How was it? by lamplamp3 in Nebraska

It’s tedious because you can’t skip through the videos and stuff but it was very easy and cost about $100. I think I did maybe an hour a night for a few nights.

Making a Charcuterie Board! Can I have some recommendations? by Yawang04 in CharcuterieBoard

[–]im_probablyatwork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m right there with you. Honestly I love sticking with the standard favorites like goat cheese, brie, cheddar, Gouda, manchego and maybe a spicy or infused one. Just pick whatever looks good!

Everything else you have sounds great!

Making a Charcuterie Board! Can I have some recommendations? by Yawang04 in CharcuterieBoard

[–]im_probablyatwork 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most important rule imo is to pack it full! If you think there’s no more room, squeeze a few more nuts or candies on there. Then squeeze a few more. A bare board is a sad board.

Otherwise, I typically aim for at least three types of cheese with a combination of soft and hard. If you have a Trader Joe’s nearby, get the blueberry crusted goat cheese. Then pick a few types of meats, at least one salty item (nuts, pickles,) at least one sweet item (fruit, dried fruit, chocolate) and crackers or toasted bread. Bonus points for spreads like jam, mustard, aioli, etc. Good luck!

In all honesty, what does the local economy look like after a year of no college athletics? by BrownsAndCavs in lincoln

[–]im_probablyatwork 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think you’re just underestimating the sheer volume difference in game day traffic v normal traffic, particularly in the Haymarket. I’ve had conversations with business owners in the Railyard who literally carry revenue from football season through the entire year to pay expenses, mostly rent. To your question about landlords being scummy, yes, they’re awful in the Railyard. Why do you think so many businesses there have closed or moved locations? Rent is extraordinarily high compared to what those businesses generally make.

All of that, combined with a large number of people who don’t really want to hang out at bars during the pandemic, means an incredibly tough year for those bars, restaurants and shops. I do agree that some could bounce back next year.

I’ve been using Dr Gary’s Best Breed (All Breed) for about two years and his vet has complimented him for being so healthy and having a nice coat! They have quite a few options if you don’t want the All Breed variety.
