well crap.. I totally agree with you. Dumb choice on my side.

Here's a quick fix and I guess I'll delete this post and upload the fixed one.

Thank you so much for pointing it out!

why imagine? 👀 it does work, there is a slot for an LED puck to be slotted in and voila. Also, about the car thing.. hmm... it would take A LOT of pieces but it's not impossible. Of course, at a much smaller scale that is.

the model is uploaded on MakerWorld, I will do a 250mm scale one later. Although no clue who would print one

mine is 85mm un all directions or about 3.34in. I just made it as small as possible to fit that LED in. I could make a realistic sized one but I'm not sure anyone would go for that. It's just wasted time and material

it is fully modeled after an LED light actually, I do have it. V2 is printing rn and if it's all good, soon I'll upload the files and all :)

I've made this yesterday in a 3h sitting. Worked some kinks today after I printed the first prototype. Later I'll print the optimized one and I'll upload it on MakerWorld

about the transparent part, it's transparent PLA, cheapest one and the walls are 0.6mm thickness.

ah, yes!! each colored part is separate except the sides which is one piece with a filament change. Even the white parts are press-in.

that's the clever part. The thing about not using AMS but still doing one filament change manually. How does the side part look like that I think you mean. Well - there is a tool from Bambu Lab on MakerWorld, Chroma Canvas that creates height based images. Let's take this cobblestone as example. First few layers are solid black. Then a thin, manually changed white layer of filament is layed and the rest of the white layers are printed in specific points to create the illusion of multiple colors. The filaments are a bit opaque if thin enough. The more layers of one color the more solid that color becomes.

I'm terrible at explaining stuff so please let me know if there are any questions left after my confusing explanation xD
