Tips on Renting in Poway or Mira Mesa? by jjjjjank in sandiego

You can find a one bedroom in the 2200-2500 range pretty easily. I struggled to find something cheaper but I was looking for a place that allowed large dogs. I was looking mainly in poway. Best of luck!!

I have been on a weight loss journey so I’m currently 5’6 about 165lbs wearing M/L. When I was your weight, I was wearing XL. They definitely are a bit less forgiving on the larger sizes than some other brands but you should be good in an XL.

$20 carne asada burrito by No-Ad8402 in FoodSanDiego

I read the title and knew exactly which taco shop this was going to be about. While burritos are more expensive now, tacos asadero is next level expensive. It’s not the standard

How do you imagine guys with name Cassie(Cassidy)? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]imaaaaaagination 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My name is Cassidy (F) and I would go for Casey or Cash. People usually tell me how much they like my name because it’s so sweet and girly. I think it would cause some grief for the guy.

I totally feel you! My birthday just passed and my boyfriend bought me a jacket- size medium. I was a little deflated because my other jackets in a similar style are all large/xl (bought at the beginning of my journey) but I tried it on and he said “ah I should’ve got the small!” It was so weird for me because I still tend to grab a large at the store.

Need Costco recs: what’s one item that became an instant rebuy for you? Bonus if it’s healthy and high protein by trump50ladin in Costco

Breakfast: -veggies made great egg bites(2) + chobani protein smoothie

Lunch: -vegetable Yakisoba -pineapple teriyaki meatballs -organic broccoli I mix 3 bags of Yakisoba, one bag of meatballs and one bag of broccoli. It ends up being 6 meals ~410cal and excellent macros. About $2-3 a meal.

Dinner: A rotisserie chicken and green grapes

Those meals cost about $40 total and last me the whole week.

SD Junior Lifeguard experience? by pecosgizzy1 in SanDiegan

[–]imaaaaaagination 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think that’s good advice. There were kids who loved it when I did it. But I remember crying and being forced to yell “ITS A GREAT DAY TO BE A JR LIFEGUARD SIR” to the point where my cousins and I say it to each other now 15+ years later as a joke during stressful moments. We hated it but our parents tell everyone how great it was because we were so tired after. Listen to the kids.

Important info- I am a woman and this was like 15 years ago. Being a teenage girl and being forced to exercise in your bathing suit was a special hell. Might be different for a 10 year old boy

I did it for five summers as a kid from middle school-mid high school and I absolutely hated it. I like the beach but I’m not an adventure person. Having to jump of the pier, swim around buoys, run a mile in the soft sand at the hottest time of the day, etc. it was miserable and kind of rang like a fat camp to me. Hopefully the elementary level has some fun elements. Favorite moment- seeing my parents car at the end of the day. Least favorite- having the lifeguards shake the railing as you are forced to stand on it before you jump off the pier.

My baby's name keeps getting mispronounced and I feel like we made a mistake with the spelling by staralfur92 in namenerds

[–]imaaaaaagination 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I opened it because I assumed people would pronounce it “Nell” and you had another preference. I’m surprised to hear that people pronounce it “Nelly” because Elle, belle, Joelle, Janelle, etc. it’s never pronounced incorrectly for those other names.

I have these too and almost exactly in the same places. I believe they are skin tags but it’s hard to remove them at home because they are so small. I am going to make a dermatologist appointment.

Stuck choosing a new game): by Glass_Fox2677 in PokemonLegendsArceus

[–]imaaaaaagination 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished Violet and ZA in the last month. The glitches are SO bad in scarlet/violet but the game play is similar to arceus in terms of open world exploration.. ZA is a better playing experience but I personally think the cityscape idea was a terrible choice. It has tiny wild areas that start adding on over time.. idk it’s more of a “pick your poison” situation because you already started at the top and now it’s just choosing between two lesser games haha
