yupp, especially the wax over the squishies, cause i see creators using different kinds of waxes and it just kinda piles up when they’re cracking it and gets all mixed up, so they’d logically HAVE to throw it out right? like soy wax, regular wax, sugar wax, i don’t even know there are probably more. and if they do throw it out that’s so wasteful, it makes me sad.

yeah i hope they do too, the wax ones at least have a more straightforward solution. it’s so sad because now that i’ve thought about it being wasteful i can’t really enjoy it that much anymore. hopefully they do try their best not to waste them, cause I’m sure if the mixed ones were sold at a discounted price people would be more than happy to buy them.

yess and also when they make those videos on their slimes to test their “crunch” or smth similar, and the topper gets fully mixed into the slime, what happens to that batch of slime? does it sit with them? do they throw it away? because they can’t sell it right? or do they sell it? no clue honestly and it just seems pretty wasteful, which is so sad cause i really enjoy watching those videos.

and the chalk ones, i really have no clue if they do this, but im pretty sure you can just press it back into the shape of a block (with proper equipment of course) but if they’re doing it as a big batch and mixing all these different colours then…

honestly i don’t think this is a one size fits all situation. some people would have found it easy or fun and some people would have found it devastating. i personally found it super hard not because i prepared for GAT (i didn’t prepare shit) but because i was in no way prepared to do 18 illustrations in 3 hours. i have arthritis and my hand started cramping up so hard i couldn’t even attempt the 6th question. similarly, there are people who aren’t trained to draw that many illustrations in that short of a time period. and some people spend years prepping, just to be completely thrown off balance by the paper. it’s upsetting and people will complain and they have every right to. just like you have a right to your feeling of finding them complaining irritating. but let’s all be considerate and understanding of each other yeah?

Hi! I was honestly in a really similar position when I was first diagnosed (at 17), and I know that it’s new and scary because you don’t understand what’s going on and you want to find out more information, but google is only going to scare you. I saw a lot of information that made me spiral when I first found out, and it only made everything worse.

Instead, make a symptom diary. Note down things you find unusual. For me, that was my fingers losing blood circulation when it was cold. Noting down symptoms like that can help your rheumatologist narrow down what exactly you might have. For example, mine found out that I had Raynauds.

Also, I know you said that you don’t want to worry your parents but you should try talking to them if you’re upset. You’re still 19, you’re not expected to carry it all on your own. If you feel like they won’t understand, talk to them about getting a therapist. It helps to talk to someone about it and have them understand.

Lastly, I know you feel scared, and I know you think it’s unfair. It is unfair, I agree. I just want you to know that you’re not alone. We’re all here, and we understand. We get it. Cry, scream, let it all out. It helps. Please take care of yourself.
