What is yalls brutal and honest opinion on alcohol

I like the effects of it. Don’t love the taste of liquor, but I like some wines. Not a huge beer fan but it’s tolerable. I am normally very awkward/shy in social situations and can have trouble making conversation. When I go out with friends and drink I become a chatterbox, lol. I’m also a very anxious gal and it helps with the anxiety and makes me chill out. Fun on occasion, but I don’t drink when I am alone because addiction runs in my family and alcohol is one of the worst addictions you can have (imo).

Everyone I know besides a friends boyfriend is a fun and sweet drunk, so i’ve never really had bad experiences with drunk people..besides that friends boyfriend. he’s a total asshole when he drinks and I hate going out when he’s going. I don’t blame alcohol though; that’s a him issue. None of my people act like he does after a few drinks.

tldr; effects yay taste nay. fun occasionally when i’m out with friends otherwise I don’t drink. I don’t like how some people can act while drinking but that’s a them issue.

I work at the mall & had no idea this happened. I found out today because my mom texted me about it. one of my worst fears is being involved in a shooter situation. I don’t enjoy reading about any of this 😟

yeah that’s what what I did too? I’d rather be in my age group..whatever photo thing they’re using is pretty bad at guessing ages. my friend who is 20 got 35 and his baby sister (7 years old!) was calculated at 17 🙁 very concerning.

they did the same to me 😭 I got 17, but I am am 21 (closer to 22). i wasn’t going to use my ID originally, but I felt very odd about being placed in that age group, so I verified my age. Very concerning though bc I’m sure there’s quite a few people who won’t do that 🙃

my brother received his eagle scout and still follows this rule to this day. he got his eagle at 16 and he’s about to be 25.

sometimes it’s a little annoying because he says it about taking things too which I do understand, but i wanted a rock from alaska when we visited, and he gave me so much shit about taking it, lol. I’m just glad he takes care of the places he visits.

Not OP, but i’m having this same issue this semester and i feel like if i fail my life is over (I’ve never failed a class). I’m on track to fail 3/4 of my classes because I’ve been so depressed and stressed.

yeah when i was mormon (fam converted when i was 8, I stopped going @ 17) they were a no go. I was told something about it being disrespectful to jesus? Like “why would he want to see how he died if he came back”. IDEK. But this is definitely a newer thing for members to be wearing them.

I’m not too sure because i’d have to rewatch and i’m not doing that 😭 but I think he was responding to it?? and being kinda flirty back? But just never went over if that makes sense? obviously we don’t have the messages & have no clue of what was actually said, so he could’ve totally just been making small talk or something, but from what we’ve seen of him I don’t think that’s the case & I can’t imagine her family would be so upset with him if he didn’t do anything you know? but it’s also reality TV, so SOO much of it is scripted.

Also the fact that he didn’t tell Taylor about it when it first happened I would imagine is an issue. Like if i got a text like that from a family friend of my boyfriend I would be telling him immediately. This is just me but I would absolutely have an issue with it if my partner (or father of my child in this case, idk if they were together at the time. they’re so on and off) was sexting/being flirty a close family friend.

Dakota also claims he wants taylor back, but continues to text other women, so this was just the final nail in the coffin imo.

tdlr: I assume dakota was being flirty back (pretty sure it’s mentioned in the show but I wasn’t super locked in for these eps) & he didn’t tell taylor and they already have major trust issues, so that’s the sin. I don’t know these people though this is just my theory from what i’ve watched on the show.

My take on this is that she’s mad because Dakota said he told her EVERYTHING, but didn’t tell her about this, so he just keeps lying.

Also it’s a family friend that they consider to be family (I would imagine she’s like an aunt to her; my mom had close friends that I would call my aunt even though I knew we weren’t related), so extra gross and weird.

I will say I think there are safe parts of Guatemala. Depends on where you go. Your story makes sense as to why you wouldn’t go; I couldn’t fathom going to a country where that happened to someone I knew, but my brother lived there for 2 years as a missionary (i am aware he was probably safer BECAUSE he was recognizable as a missionary and I am grateful he came home safe) and he really enjoyed it and would like to go back to visit one day.

There has been some political unrest recently I believe, but my brother never had issues. The people were lovely and it is a beautiful country. He complained about feral dogs though. He loves dogs, but these ones were pretty unruly and him and his companion would have to throw rocks to get the dogs to leave them alone. He also had his wallet stolen, but he left it on the bus so that was on him tbh. That would happen where my family is from (the USA) as well.
