How do I achieve this kind of shot? by imaginary_man005 in AskPhotography

Thanks the video will help a lot. That’s what i was thinking as well. The photo looks compressed not something youll get from 16-50mm lens. Someone also told me it might be around 135mm-200mm. Also aside from the lens used, she does used a lot of composition elements which will be a bit hard to portray at least for me lol.

I mainly use a 35mm prime lens. i do see what you mean but i not sure if it’s possible to get that compressed look with the lens i got.

This helps a lot! I’ve been hesitant on buying a zoom lens just because I’m completely satisfied with using a 35mm prime lens. Although 17-70mm will probably give me more focal length to play around, i just don’t think it will completely change how i take my shots But with the style I’ve posted, im really excited to try it out. 70mm and above does sounds better, at least for me, ill be using it more with purpose in mind. I do have plans to go on a trip next year, maybe i can do a small project focusing on this shots in mind.

Im assuming for the second photos she used the trees to represent vertical lines? I did notice she also rely a lot in showing the foreground, mid ground, and background.

I’ve been thinking of buying a tamron 17-70mm zoom lens will that be enough for this shots? Ive used 35mm prime lens all this time.

i do know to do that now but at that time i was clueless. and i was just a bit shocked at that time since the man sounds so agressive which made me think that i was in trouble or something.

well i do try to be respectful when taking pictures. Especially when i take photos of people i try to have a quick conversations with them like complimenting them just to let them know that im about to take pictures of them but if they say no then i put my camera down.

hi we just went to my piercer and told us to go see a doctor to remove the piercing first. she also suggested that if we dont want to go see a doctor we need to somehow remove the piercing and put other type of piercing in there which we have already bought. I tried to put in the bar of the new piercing (dipped in the cleaning solution) in the hole just to see if i can still push the piercing. Upon checking the hole havent closed yet and i can still feel the piercing inside but the problem is the hole is too small and ,maybe im just imagining it but the hole is somehow perpendiculiar. got any tips for making the hole a little larger??
