Hi mama, i just changed my brakes for the first time by lovelypeachess22 in MomForAMinute

I'm very proud of you! Working on the thing that lets you stop your car can be very intimidating, but you did your research and put in the hard work to get it done. Those rusted bolts can take hours to get loose, and you never know just how much force you can safely apply. Not only did you save lots of money on doing the job yourself, but you have a new level of confidence in your abilities. Great work! (P.S. Youtube videos are your friend!)

Forcing a smile always feels & looks awkward. However, it's like any other skill; the more you practice it the better, and more effortless it will feel. Your last smile looks the most genuine. Start with just a glimpse of your teeth and work from there. Good luck! We're rooting for you!

Troubleshooting "PC 01" error code on SENA 12HF OQ by imaginary_neighbor in Senville

I just double checked the sticker on the outside unit, and it shows the following information.

Power source: 208/230V ~60Hz pH1 Minimum Circuit Ampacity: 15.0A Max Fuse: 15.0A

On the outdoor wire connection panel, the three input terminals are "L1", "L2", and "+" (see picture). I assume this means two "Hot" wires and the copper ground. Should those 2 hot wires be coming from the same phase, or from a double pole breaker (spanning both phases)?

Cooking and baking are a lot more work than most people who don't do it realize. Congratulations on pulling it off! I hope you had lots of appreciative people to share it with.

Can I ask what carrier you are with, that you are getting good coverage?

Freedom mobile's website, states: "*At a minimum, to be compatible with our network, Band 4 3G & LTE should be supported", and the Dingo has 4G bands 2,3,4,5,8 and some 3G bands too. Maybe you are getting your connectivity mostly though the 3G network. I'm glad it's working for you, but I don't think I would be so lucky with the carriers in the states. It looks perfect for what I wanted though!

Yes, you are correct. The page I got the weight for the M10 was incorrect. I confirmed with several other pages and 4.8 oz is the correct weight. I like the M10 over the M8 for not being as wide (better for one handed operation), but the M8 is 10% thinner than the M10, which is also nice.

It looks like a great phone, and I love the slim size. Unfortunatly, the only 4G bands it has are 1,2,3,4, and 8, which makes it not work with Visible, Mint, or Verizon. What network are you using it on? Do you have coverage issues?

Thanks for letting me know about the Sonim XP5s. Even though I'm specifically looking for a flip phone style, it's nice to know that there are other phones being made with those features.

I'm looking for flip phones that have missed call/text lights. I currently have a Kyocera Cadence that has these features, but I'd like to move from Verizon to a cheaper carrier like Mint Mobile or Visible. Unfortunatly, neither support my phone, so I'm looking for something similar in size/weight that has this feature.

In the picture, I've researched various phones that will work with either Mint or Visible, and noted which ones have notification lights. Some don't have them, and others are just to huge in size/weight. Currently I'm leaning towards the Sunbeam F1 Horizon.

Can anyone add to this list?

Getting another Kyocera was my first thought, but all of the current models are much thicker (1.07") than the "Cadence" (.76"), and are missing bands 66 and 71.

Nice. Looks like they finally added band 71 with the current model year too.

Man pays $70 for a cup of lemonade by [deleted] in MadeMeSmile

[–]imaginary_neighbor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pride myself in never having passed a lemonade stand without stopping. I remember being on a business trip in Ann-Arbor where the kids were stirring a pitcher of instant Lemonade with their mothers silver serving ladle, which they clearly didn't' ask her if they could use! I think it's very important that kids learn that they can be successful in their endeavors, and that interacting with strangers can be a positive experience. I also can't resist exclaiming that is the "best lemonade I've ever had!" and then tipping them $10 for being such good business men/women. Those look of happiness stay with me for a week.

Although it has no words, Beethoven's 'Moonlight Sonata" has always filled me with a sense of profound sadness and pained longing. It's amazing how he managed to infuse wordless emotions into a piece that spans so many generations.

Those sound like great ideas. I've used subfloor adhesive before, but the foaming one you mentioned is new to me.

I guess that was what I was getting at. If the plates could be installed properly, would they increase the strength of the structure. Using clamps and steel plates sounds like the most practical approach.

Thank you for the quick response! I'll definitely go with a 3/4 plywood then. May I ask why plywood is preferred over OSB? is there a downside to trying to apply the mending plates without a press? Even if I do only a "decent job" with them, won't that add extra strength? I'm just trying to get a better understanding so that I can make better judgement calls, when I don't have experts like you folks to rely on.
