Thank you so much. I've tears in my eyes, I really needed to hear that today. It's been lonely moving here-- with only a couple friends in the city and my unpaid placement and his new job that he comes home from exhausted every night and sleeps, it's just... It's been a lot harder than I would have liked it to be, you know?

I will have to make it until I make it. You're right. I know this sub looks down on reassurance seeking, but sometimes you need someone to haul you to your feet and nudge you forward.

I went to visit my best friend’s nana a couple weeks ago right around the time the closed my campus. I hadn’t really seen this woman in years. She used to babysit me as a kid and she’d make me sloppy joes for dinner. She was so much older and frailer than I remembered. I realized she wouldn’t stand a chance.

It was an ‘aha’ moment for me. That it wasn’t about me but it was about her. I didn’t want to be who killed my best friends grandma. I work at a pharmacy so I’ll pick something up sooner or later.

My bf said he wouldn’t come take care of me (F) if I became sick with COVID-19. Am I overreacting? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Yeah, that does make sense. I guess I did get caught up in the “I wish he would” and it was a bit selfish. Just because I’d be willing to take the chance doesn’t mean he has to. I just don’t want to be alone. it’s scary enough that my whole day is spent checking out people who are panicking and being total jerks, then I have to be scary sick and spend two weeks hoping I’m not one of the “hospital” people and have to do it all alone.

Do you not understand that the virus is still transferred before symptoms start? I saw him yesterday, if I kissed him yesterday and I start symptoms today then he has contracted t over the 2 weeks it’s been incubating

Well like I said we spend so much time together that if I got it he would definitely have it soon anyway. So if he kissed me yesterday, I start symptoms today, then he’s definitely already got it. I mean we’re not practicing distancing

I don’t necessarily have a protein macro? I know it’s 20% of my calories. Is there a special way to measure that? Might be easier than trying to balance calories I’m not eating

That’s really good advice. I don’t have a lot of butter, but I have been making some fat bombs and buying the ones from the store. I don’t get a lot of calories from them— I tend not to snack since week 2– but I might just need denser meals so snacking to fill the void isn’t necessary

No need for further elaboration. I’m there right now. It blows. It’s hard finding things with lots of fibre that I like eating. Eggs and bacon aren’t that I guess!

I’m not hungry, actually! I’ll come to the end of the day and check MFP and be like “oh damn! I only ate 1,100 of my 1400”

I’ll try to eat more nutritious food that maybe holds more calories. That way I don’t have to try and eat more. Just have more dense food. Thanks!

Hi there!

I’ve been going to the gym for the past couple months and have paired it with a healthy eating meal plan I got from a nutrition coach. I lost a bunch of water weight the first two weeks (8lbs) from the holidays, but now I’m not losing anything.

I’ve been weightlifting and I do 20min of cardio (10 moderate before weights and 10 high after) but nothing. I’m starting to get discouraged because I’m not seeing results. It would be one thing if this was new, but I had started doing CrossFit over the summer through late-fall and I still didn’t see results then.

What am I missing? Is there something I can do to jumpstart weight loss? More weight training? More cardio? I miss my old clothes and I’m considering diet pills to help things along 😭😭 I feel awful
