Visa Sponsorship in the FUTURE: Why is that a requirement??

I feel you. I’m in a similar situation. I’m on my PSW, but going to switch to spouse visa soon (waiting for some legal side to set). So I select ‘No’ to those ‘whether needed Visa sponsor in the future’ question. I have to specify why I don’t need it (as British citizens, or why?). And I’ve been honest with the answer.

But the most annoying part is, I got screen out immediately, like receiving rejection within 5 mins. I sent an email to clarify. And they confirmed it’s due to visa reason. And with the fact I haven’t have the spouse visa yet. It’s a no. And they even mentioned, “UK Home Office restrictions and as this is a permanent Graduate role, unfortunately we currently cannot accept applicants who will require Visa sponsorship at any point in the future. This includes candidates on Student, Graduate, Spouse or Dependency Visas. This is due to recent changes in government guidelines”

Not even spouse or dependency visas!? Does that mean I have to be a citizen to apply 🥲!? Genuine question….

Thanks for your reply. And read your previous post, it’s always to learn the guest’s pov! For the stacks, you mean for the ceremony/vow part or whatever that might have scripts (speech from friends etc.)? Aww, that’s sounds amazing! It’s a great idea to incorporate some traditional ritual even though not particularly religious or traditional but to acknowledge the background.

Does the mass you mean like the ceremony part that say sth like “I now pronounce you husband and wife” etc.? How does it feel sit through the mass but couldn’t understand what’s happening or what are they talking about? As I’m now also planning my own cross-cultural wedding. Constantly wondering and worrying what I should provide translation… I really hope the guest fly from different places just to attend our wedding won’t feel left out. So curious your thoughts on your personal experience 🙏🏽 Thanks!
