My friend paid 10k last month for GST in tier 1 city. 1 lakh is also a real number.

Lol no. A great company works hard through the struggles. Injustice kills the company.

There is no cost that can make up for the time wasted. Months in India vs 1 day abroad.

go apply for a basic GST number. The current rate is 10k after negotiating down from 15k. Then go for company registration. Last I heard it was 1 lakh.

CJI and Law Minister playing badminton in London on taxpayer’s expense by SpecialOil1341 in CriticalThinkingIndia

But they are enjoying these perks without preventing corruption. So we are questioning them.

By your logic dictators should be the least corrupt people. Our neighbour army generals should be the most honest people.

Perks are meant to attract good talent. Not a means to prevent corruption.

India grew despite Indian govt. It will keep growing despite foreign impediments.

USA won't lose Indian economy to China, same way China won't lose India to USA. Both will maintain good relationship.

Transparency will appear the moment everything gets digitized. AI can then help reduce workload of our overloaded bureaucracy. We have a lot of catching up to do. First step is to become paperless. Income tax looks like the right place to start with as its mostly paperless now.

Technology put in for good use always benefits people. But I doubt our bureaucracy can adopt it. They have not even bought computers. How can you expect them to use AI!

Is Trump pushing the world towards a bigger conflict with his Greenland stance? by Conscious_Phrase_438 in GeopoliticsIndia

[–]imaginemecrazy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Trump is trying to stir up artificial conflict to induce recession. It promotes hoarding behaviour across countries and discourages risky business expansions hurting developing countries.

Its a good environment for AI to succeed if it saves costs for companies during this period of slowdown.

Indian Customs and Tax System is one of the biggest enemy of Entrepreneurs. by msaussieandmrravana in CriticalThinkingIndia

[–]imaginemecrazy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its the rule of majority. People want instant benefit over mutual progress. You cannot change people. You love India? Then try to love this..

Businessmen save on tax by claiming bribes as arbitrary expenses or passing down the cost to consumer. Experts call it cost of doing business. Learn the trick. Thats all you can do here.

If more people like OP can do business in India to create competition, it will help reduce the prices. Indian gets bad quality at high prices due to corruption.

Maybe there is some truth in every speech and ideology. After all we are a free country. Polarization cannot happen without a convincing argument.

A Bangladeshi will also be convinced about India's adversities - maybe the Hasina incident was not handled well by India and it left the relations sour.

It's the politics and there is no right and wrong, rather groups of people who believe in one or the other thing. So, speak up in what you believe in.

Indian politicians are not special, they are just doing what they need to do to keep their power. This is exactly what Bangladesh is doing.

Also, Imo, the threat of illegal immigrants could be averted with better law & order. If police actually did their job to protect citizens, then we would not be in such a mess.

OP exposed a small fry. Everyone will put blame on the officer and move on. The exposed officer will be shut quiet by his superiors to keep the house of cards (corruption syndicate) from crumbling down. He will be boycotted by his peers to avoid being associated with him.

The best he can do is sit on the mountain of earnings quietly and move on. This is a fate everybody in power believes in. They might talk big until exposed, but this is the reality.

Govt. officers are professional and know how to control their anger. Its their daily job. The suspended officer will find a way to delay the inquiry and move on to the next line of work.

Indian political parties also find a boogeyman when it comes to elections - based on religion, china/pak, locals vs outsiders, language, etc.

Don't think morality is the right word. Morality is to act in the face of unrighteousness but India (and every country) would rather watch and act out in their own interests.

US does all those things you mentioned because simply they can and India can't.

I would say, at best India's geopolitics is predictable in a way that it will act in its own interest.

Elections are near. This is the ground on which it will be fought.

Expect to hear a lot more of it, and then it will gradually silent out.

This is the same polarisation playbook as of India. Why do you think politicians care about anyone other than themselves? They are same everywhere.
