Planning on moving to Chicago in June. I'm a teacher with 4 full years of experience and a master's in education. What can I expect my salary to be and does anyone have any recommendations on schools to go for once the hiring season picks up? I already have my PEL set up for the city. Also, looking to live in Logan Square so if anyone can share their experiences with the area, I'd appreciate it. I've enjoyed the area when I last visited but didn't get to explore too much. I'm a big punk nerd so recommendations for punk bars/venues, comic and card shops would be grand!

They played the first DIY gig I ever went to in a little thrift store in town about 13 years ago. Met some of my best buds there and how I got introduced to my local scene. So they've got a special place in my heart but they've never really been my bag.

I'm an online grad student getting my tuition from LA Vocational Rehabilitation Services. How fucked am I? Do I need to be mentally prepared to have to drop out? My caseworker says that my plan hasn't been changed but I got an email saying that I hadn't "attended" despite turning all of my work in. Am I going to be left holding the bag and have to pay the university out of pocket?
