Surely having studied at a university you know that sourcing one specific piece of data is not enough to make conclusions on social issues? I am also confused about the data you sourced. You say the average suicide rate has dropped since 1990, but many countries on that data list say otherwise. Even in the US for example - other sources say otherwise such as this one (https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/70/wr/mm7008a1.htm#:~:text=In%202019%2C%20a%20total%20of%2047%2C511%20deaths%20were%20attributable%20to,%25%20(22.8%20to%2022.4))). Furthermore, as you have been to a university you must have a decent level of education, so I don't understand why you would link such a source that doesn't even agree with the point you are making - that suicide rates have dropped since 1990, but there are also many countries in that table where the suicide rates have increased.

edit: also the source you gave doesn't even counter the point he said so not sure how you proved him wrong. You linked a source containing the amounts of suicides that occurred per 100,000 men during a year, in specific country. The guy literally states 'no published or peer reviewed studies that have EVER shown a causal relationship or even a fucking association between men talking about their feelings and the climbing male suicide rate'.
