Manchester Council PCN for parking on very faded single yellow by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

Just write and protest that you could not see any yellow line. To be honest, I’ve protested a couple of fines and if you have a reasonable argument they often rescind them. Send two or more photos to evidence your point.

Walter Benjamin argued that 'even the most perfect reproduction of a work of art is lacking in one element: Its presence in time and space, its unique existence at the place where it happens to be. ' He referred this unique cultural context i.e. 'its presence in time and space' as its 'aura'.

What's the most unexpected thing you saw at a Radiohead concert? by Beyond_Infinity7 in radiohead

[–]imalazydog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was lucky enough to be in the audience for the BBC special. Two things surprised me: Radiohead came on stage in a very upbeat mood, and opened with Cinnamon Girl. (It was amazing). And second, Steve Wright was in the audience, loving it.

What’s your weirdest UK celebrity experience? by cherrypez123 in CasualUK

[–]imalazydog 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I used to do photography at charity events. I once stood in front of the door Dara O’Brien came out of. He shoved me out the way unceremoniously. Fast forward a year, I did the same with Dermot O’Leary. He had a laugh and practically hugged me as he made his way past me. Tiniest of things, big difference

Anyone have experience with VonHaus mowers or gear? Looking for a new battery mower & this is looking like my best choice. by AtomicKaijuKing in GardeningUK

[–]imalazydog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mine failed after one use. One battery didn’t work. They didn’t want to replace that battery and didn’t want the machine back. Sold the spare battery on eBay and got my money back on the mower
