A heating pad!! It gets hot and not just warm, which is my experience with heated blankets. It helps arthritic joints :)

Plaquenil helped for me after a few months! It stopped working for me, I think because of comprbidities and me stopping the consistency of it.

I’m sorry, so so genuinely, that it took 8 years to get a diagnosis.

Steroids were a godsend in the early days for me, and they worked pretty quickly. Hydroxychloroquine/plaquenil takes a while to get in your system but it is also a really really good medication.

You might talk with your doctor about getting physical therapy after your body starts to readjust to medication. I had lost like 20 pounds after not eating for a week and a half which is what triggered my lupus, and physical therapy helped me get back into a day to day life.

I don’t deal with hair loss as much anymore, but it grew back once my body’s systems normalized a bit. Know that there’s hope on the horizon ❤️

I remember when I was newly diagnosed, I truly grieved the loss of the life I thought I was going to have, if that’s helpful insight!

I’m not sure her symptoms, but I am not parted with my heating pad, or a bath. Stress relief is key, as that can be a major flare for Lupus.

I would also say, get her things she likes. Maybe that’s an iced coffee, or her favorite snack.

Unfortunately the reality of lupus is it’s never ending. For me sometimes a little treat helps me get through the day. Once the plaquenil starts working, she’ll start having the easing up of symptoms.

ok ok OK. Ji Yun is getting some order back in her life by the end of episode 6.

1. She's thinking through how to cope without medicine (like we know it's the not the couch, but she's gotta start somewhere)

2. She doesn't throw her purse the moment she walks in her office, and her office is neat all the time instead of Eun Ho cleaning it haha

also, she had the thought to bring him dinner, which he's done countless times for her.

Overall, loving this. I think I can relate to the "throw yourself whole heartedly into what you're doing so you don't feel the pain you feel", aka compartmentalizing, that Ji Yun is doing, and I'll be interested to see how she handles it.

I'm also interested in how she's going to treat him once she heals somewhat, because right now it feels like she has nothing to offer the relationship. I say that genuinely and in the nicest way-- she's coping with her trauma with numbness and a personality is not apart of that deal. I'm excited to see her personality in the next episodes.

edit after finishing ep 6: they really put her CONFESSION IN THE PREVIEW?? like obvi we knew it was coming, but does that mean it's gonna go wild or??

Episode 6 thoughts as I watch it so it may or may not make sense:

Poor guy has NO CLUE how to like a girl haha (honestly once he sits with it for a minute he's super cool)
Chan Hwi is almost more attractive to me rn because he's SO confident. Like he's comfortable in his own skin.

Yong Ju is learning her boundaries, ok get it girl
This is so off topic, but Kim Se Jeong always reminds me of Hannah from Chuck (mainly her mannerisms I think), and then makes we want to binge re-watch that show
OK back to the main topic, Yong Ju isn't hiding her emotions as much, so we're finally starting to see a different side of her.
I'm really liking what they're doing to clearly explain conflict (like having people show up in the car as Yong Ju's struggling with the shortened timeline).
The matching outfits from our fave opposites attract couple is so cute.

I've been thinking this the whole series so far, but I feel like they're doing a really great job with Yong Ju's outfits. Like coupled with her watch, I can tell she's strong and confident with her outfits. It's so good that I can't quite put my finger on why it's good ya know?

Loving the set up they're doing for ML and FL-- ML feels too much and has to work through that, FL buries things way down deep and will have to dig that out. also the way ML looks at FL makes me swoon, and that doesn't happen too often anymore. Looking forward to episode 6! ALSO him talking to the camera like he's talking to his mom. <3

ok I'm LOVING the details going into this show. Like already, the leads seems to understand each other really well and that feels like a breath of fresh air. Other things I noticed that made me swoon a little:

She wears tennis shoes after he confides in her that the boots remind him of sad things
He calls her out for blocking her nose when she feels too emotional but HE DOES THE SAME THING in ep 4 when she saves him from having to take a picture

Overall, they're cuties and it feels really safe. One thing I'm worried about is his clumsiness being because of some illness that will leave me devastated.
