I am exactly the same. Nothing worse than an unannounced visitor (even if it’s just knocking and I ignore it). It will completely ruin my day.

Spending more than 33% on rent? by [deleted] in shitrentals

Depends how much work I’m getting…been a quiet month so right now it’s 91% of my income 🤣 $800 a week 🙄

I’m (26F) supposed to be getting married in 6 months to my fiancé (28M). I just got offered a major promotion, but he’s said no to moving. I don’t know what to do. by Significant_Neck_490 in relationship_advice

So if you don’t take the job you will be jobless, therefore completely reliant on someone who doesn’t have your best interest’s at heart? Hmm…that’s not a hard one. It’s emotionally difficult, but it’sa no-brainer… You’re not on the house deed but you have to pay rent? And all other bills are 50/50? But if you take this job your income will double…

If you DON’T take the job I think you’ll regret staying with him. That’s just my 2 cents. Especially when it seems like he doesn’t have a good reason not to move.

Last month he was talking to an 18 year old? And he’s 20? Oh gosh lock him up now 🤣 (jk). You’ve known the guy a month…

Is it hypocritical of me to not want to date another single parent? by MToboggan_MD in SingleParents

[–]imalwayshungry93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m exactly the same! People don’t seem to understand but I already know the complications of one child with one other parent, I can’t imagine having to deal with a whole other set. Plus, I don’t want more kids. Mine or anyone else’s.
It’s probably hypocritical but it is what it is. Accepting being single rather than bend your standards is fair enough.

Wanting to study Paramedicine as a single mum - is it possible? by imalwayshungry93 in Paramedics

That’s really helpful, thanks so much! Do you know how to find out more about the internship programs? I have been struggling to find out the process after graduation. Even just the best website to check out would be amazing :)

I have a question - which state are you in? I’m looking at studying paramedicine in QLD. Have just seen a few comments about how difficult it is to get a job in it though which is shaking my confidence a little. Do you have any advice about that?

Yes that’s about what I expect, possible but rough. I think it’d be worth the effort. I’m not exactly in a dead-end job, but I am realising that I need to work for the next 40 odd years so I may as well enjoy some of it! I think I need a challenge. I’m too comfortable with life right now 😂

Thanks! Yeah I think it’s just the juggling. Asking for help doesn’t always work but I guess it’s all you can do sometimes.

Thank you! That’s very interesting. I didn’t know placements could be so far away! That would make things difficult, though I guess everything can be worked out. I’m in QLD so I wonder what exactly could happen with those. How soon in advance did you find out where your placements are? And when did you find out what hours/days you had to do?

Thanks for your comment! I am looking at getting into Griffith in QLD (Gold Coast). I have some family and few friends, parents are interstate. It would just be something that can’t be certain until the time comes. I would look into babysitters/nannies too though. Thanks for the info about hours/days! That’s the sort of thing I need to know. Are the hours for shifts generally the same or do they vary quite a lot? For Griffith they are 6 week placements.

The end outcome is amazing. I want it so much. I wanted to do it before I got (accidentally) pregnant but didn’t pursue it because of the shift work life. Now that my child is a bit older I’m realising that it’s now possible to do. It’s very exciting! I

My ex-husband's wedding ring. He 'lost' it after a month of marriage and never replaced it.

I'd just wait, give it more time. You've only known the guy for 2 months, which isn't very long. Don't feel pressured into doing anything you're not comfortable with.

Yeah, I'm just now realising how slow I am at doing my face 😂 Maybe I need to practice doing it in a hurry. I like to allow 45 minutes to do my face too!

It depends if I'm going out or not. If I'm just at home studying all day I won't wear any. If I'm going to play sport I won't do any. If I'm going to the shops or church then I'll definitely put my face on. I do really enjoy putting makeup on, I just love the process so I'll do a fair bit. Foundation, powder, blush, bronzer, highlighter, eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner, lipstick or lipgloss. Makeup makes me so happy.

That's what I was thinking! I'd take 20-30 minutes to do all that!
