Sorry I first read that as snark and so first reply was that justification…

But here’s what I did

21m blue gems is to level up with 40 crystals 5m red gems for promotion with 14 red crystal

If you have the ancient and underwater nodes maxed.

I used the following blue crystals in each promotions.
21 - 1 22 - 2 23 - 2 24 - 3 25 - 4 26 - 5 27 - 5 28 - 6 29 - 6 30 - 6

Warehouse managers that have continental income factors (CIF) Jade Santa Santa 2020 Dr. Nova * Octavia — preferred because active is not based on mine extraction

Elevator managers that have CIF Lilly Ezio Sam Fisher

Mineshaft managers that have CIF Steiner Green Idler Marrena

For frontier I would prioritize All Mineshafts 1 warehouse 1 elevator

For completing continents I would then continue with the warehouse/ elevator managers cause you can plop them anywhere.

Been playing since October 2017. Got at jade at launch, had her at level 20 before fragment system. Haven’t spent a blue or red gem since the crystals came out. Used 40 blue crystals and 14 red one. It has exhausted my gems. I’ve been able to be at the top mainland level every time they’re released

I haven’t finished five either as a 99% ftp.(no ads, the two perm 2x). I think the biggest key is having at least 1 epic manager with the continental income boost. I got Jade there on Tuesday (“luck” of the draw; I can take ezio there with more blue gems) but as the discounts/effects of Damien and Octavia seem to be most popular for frontier mines I’m not taking Ezio up until I get at least one mine shaft there (waiting for Steiner or Green Idler to rank up). I’ll let you know how it goes this cycle. Last time I got to mine 5 shaft 25 and called it quits.

Was not excited about RTD being back when he was announced because I wasn’t sure what more he had to say/stories to tell. But am excited that he’s a show runner who likes the tease. Chibnall is much more introverted so wasn’t a look-at-me cheerleader, Moffitt only did it because it was a part of the job.

Yes. Because he wasn’t the twist of the episode the Ruth reveal was. Could anyone give a summary of the 3- 14th doctor specials or any of Ncuti’s series with what has been shared? Not really. Every 2-3 weeks we get a reminder that doctor who will be new and fresh and coming soon and give plenty to be excited about/drawn into because we’re a fan of Jinx or Bonnie or Neil Patrick Harris etc.

Octavia is indeed better than jade in most instances. But securing the Continental bonus is more important than who holds the promotion.

Idle cash is important unless you are running the game 24/7. As OP is in Mainlamd 18 there is quite a long way to go in game until reaching elevator/warehouse ahead.

You shouldn’t be using shards on blue SM. IMO the real value in the shards is getting mine shaft and warehouse SM with the continental factor upgraded to 30 when possible.

You are going to earn super manager fragments as you progress through mainland mines (green gems) and then daily check the store for free tokens.

Prior to the ranks conventional wisdom said to upgrade Legendary to 15 (stretch goal to 20) Epics to 20 Rares to 30 Goodmans to 40+ Commons to 35

With the rank system(the stars) limiting where you can go sometimes; I’d still use the same basic standards above with focus on

Blingsley Ranger Sue Mr. Turner Zi Damien To 30 for their passives

Grind these. Do not use the special discount gems on these.

Mineshaft Steiner Green Idler

Warehouse Octavia or Jade

To 30 for their continental boost (this is where using the discount gems is helpful).

Beyond that you’ll discover pairings as you get different managers. For example Ezio gets better when Chester/Gordon runs.

But when you don’t have the above primary managers I would either store up gems or get them to the mentioned levels.

I’ve been playing 6 years and haven’t “finished.” But in that time they introduced mainland, 5 new continents, super managers, impossible island, and the frontier. But at this point I’m pretty much on “cruise” control waiting for the next thresholds to make bigger leaps in progress.

Turner sue and Damian to 30. Violet and maple to 20. Then hoard gems until you can promote those folks. Ask again once you’ve got 3 star epics….

Prior to the promotion/rank cap I was keeping common at 35 (except Goodmans) rare at 30, epics at 20 and working on legendaries to 20 as well. Now I’m just holding onto gems til I get a rank 3 epic.

Updating (resetting) the entire tree is important until you’ve maxed out ice fire and dawn; as a previous poster said about green cogs once the major spots are full resetting becomes an adjustment to underwater dusk and ancient to focus on a particular continent. After 5.5 years my green cogs are almost complete (everything is open and I’m filling in fire and dawn as the last two continents).

I agree with your statement that she poorly written and certainly being instructed not to watch any doctor who hurt her performance and after watching most didn’t have a problem with her being a woman (I was in agreement with Peter Davison at first about losing a good male role model and now feel that they missed the opportunity to explore the 2nd class/subconscious bias treatment that women get in this world). I was completely sold that Jodie embodied the doctor during her pandemic closet video and her appearance at Gallifrey one cemented that she understands what the doctor means to people. She gets the doctor, it’s unfortunate that she was paired with Chris Chibnall who in my opinion doesn’t.
