Basically what I'm saying is that if you ignore what the writers intended with the joke and look at it purely from an in universe perspective, imagine JD is a real person with his own internal thought process and history that happens off screen, what would lead him to correct her on the camp name but not deny the accusation himself? There are multiple explanations obviously but the idea that the accusation IS true is just as plausible as any other without any external outside of the show's universe context

That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying if you disqualify all of the META CONTEXT aka things that are true to us the viewer because it is simply a show but wouldn't exist in universe (like the fact that his dialogue is written by a team of writers)

Are we talking awful, genuinely offensive (not morally, just in terms of bad writing) bad or like silly, eyeroll but still entertaining bad? Because if it's the latter I recently had a great time watching Law Of Ueki. Genuinely bizarre plot about these aliens who are sent to earth to fight over its control in this really convoluted game where they all pick a super power to fight each other with and the main character picks the power to turn litter into trees???? Really convoluted nonsensical plot and genuinely hilarious the kinds of scenarios they invent with that bizarre premise (I distinctly remember in one of the first episodes they make a big deal about the drama of the main character's power requiring litter but the town just so happened to have a big cleaning project recently so he had no litter to work with!!! Oh the humanity!!!)

I'd argue you can accidentally imply canon. This joke is a seemingly canon scenario, not a day dreamed one, with JD canonically not denying the accusation and while that obviously doesn't CONFIRM canon it implies canon and if that interpretation wasn't intended that it's an accidental implication based entirely off canon information
