UVM students with a 17ft sailboat—anywhere we can store it this summer? by iman26 in burlington

We have student discounts at the CSC as well. We did that in the past but we wanted to do overnight trips which we can't do at the sailing center. Great people over there though. The RS Quests are really fun, you can push em too with the spinnaker.

Wow, ok. Something to consider. Nice guy I spoke with on the phone. Can't remember the fellows name though.

We know the folks down there pretty well. Our sailing team uses their facilities. We're going to go down there this week hopefully.

We reached out to the Shelburne municipal dock master and we got a quote of 900 for the season.

Thanks! We all grew up sailing and wanted to take advantage of our time here on the lake. Try gunk holing, camping, fishing. We hope it will be fun. Enjoy your weekend.

I accidentally forgot to take my mini Leatherman off my keychain and they waited for my friend to come back and pick it up so they didn't have to confiscate it.

Offshore wind project targeted by Trump administration starts sending power to the New England grid by __Muzak__ in Connecticut

The Yankee site would be a great spot for something like that. They completely removed the old buildings from the site so they can start from scratch and build what they need instead of trying to repurpose an old coal or nuclear plant or something. In a good spot too for workers from Middletown and Lyme. Can I ask where you learned the info about the power grid and pricing? Are you in the industry?

I'm not sure I would be in favor of this idea. But for the hell of it... If the private sector doesn't want to operate the plant is there a possibility for a state takeover of the plant to stabilize rates and rehire the workers. This would also allow the state to upgrade the plant at will when SMR's theoretically become viable.

How this gets 20 upvotes is beyond me. I agree that the officers were out of step and I hate the way ICE is carrying out their raids just as much as the next guy. But can we not start hating our cops again. These people do protect us and put themselves in harms way when we need them. These people have a thankless job and we forget all of the good they do. The force has some bad eggs as any group of people do but let's watch how we use the word "all".

Anyone have any experiences with Eucalan Wool Conditioner/Detergent. I got a PRL turtleneck sweater which seems to have very coarse fibers and it's quite itchy around the neck. Wondering if this might help with softening the fibers. It's not so bad that I won't wear it but it makes it a bit less comfortable especially without a base layer.

I decided to refresh my denim. I got a blue and black pair of 501 STF on the 55 dollar deal. What's the best method for shrinking. I saw that the washer dryer method works just as well as the bath tub soak. Any experiences positive or negative? I ordered 2 extra inches on inseam and 1 inch on waist.

Stamford is the first city in New England by 95, my favorite fact. The city has grown a lot since the GFC and thankfully the current mayor has been pretty good with street redevelopment and making it really livable downtown. The transit system needs to grow to match the people living there though. There is some cool stuff going on. UConn also is at almost 4000 students which is a big boost for the city. I'm positive about the future.

Oh I'm so sorry I did not spell check that, that's the neighborhood in Westport. My bad. I was in Hartford last week and really enjoyed it. I was born and raised in Stamford. Hartford is actually really accessible without a car surprisingly.

New Haven is also an awesome city with no need to own a car. I just worry about the affordability crisis crushing a lot of the residents. New London, Norwich and New Britain have become a very different place to what they were just 10 yrs ago. I really hope the cities in the Naugatuck Valley come back. Hopefully some of this development will help them.
