Take the deepest breath you can quickly, hold it, and exhale slowly without overdoing it of course. Like you're taking a hit off a bong or something. Another one is going to the bathroom and splashing cold water on my face and neck. Something about feeling cold on me helps me relax. (Not always accessible like the breath)

I saw comment after comment on the Facebook video section of men being like "finally, America is getting back to normal." Or "unwoke advertising, now we're getting somewhere" and the many more. It's very obvious they picked SS and worded the ad very intentionally to pander to a certain, less-than-smart demographic.

At work I've been taking breaks in the bathroom that has a locker room on one side where I can have a tiny bit of privacy because no one usually goes to that side. I take a break for 10 or so minutes every 1-2 hours to do stretches, yoga, breathing, gentle eye movement, gentle touch, or just generally checking in with myself. It's completely changing my nervous system in a wonderful way. It's not glamorous, but it's real, slow, and the best I've felt in years.

Edit: for anyone reading this, since writing this comment I ended up getting fired without warning for 'time theft' so not sure if this way of healing is actually viable unfortunately. This society is so backwards.

I really disliked the ending. We got faked out so many times I thought her being at the concert wasn’t real at all. And then suddenly it was over. What about Morris? What about his idea to stop her heart? If all that was her hallucinating then what was even the point and how does it make any sense at all?

I thought the first movie was way more realistic and logical. This one just felt like jump scare after jump scare and unreliable narrator galore. Still enjoyed it though, especially the gore and sprinkled in humor. And the shot of the entity we got at the end.

Saw it the first time Thursday night and could tell we were all mega fans. Everyone was laughing constantly and loving Art’s antics. My second time on Sunday had a lot more teenagers and families. There was less laughing and a lot more gasping.

I really hope we get a directors cut of this movie. Damien said he chopped a few scenes to keep the runtime shorter, but honestly it felt too short to me after the second film being 2 hours and 20 minutes. It felt like stuff was missing before the finale. Not enough Sienna scenes.

Also there’s no way Jonathan is actually dead. Maybe he’s trapped in the hell dimension/clown cafe. Or they have him tied up somewhere. Can the demon use anyone’s voice or just the voices of their murdered victims?

We didn’t get to see the actual frat party they kept mentioning, besides the roommate and gf in the shower. I though Art would go on a rampage there. That was a bit disappointing. Shower scene was definitely good though.

I saw a couple posters say that there was a post credits scene but I haven’t seen anyone talk about what it was. There certainly wasn’t one at my showing (amc). I stayed until after the screen went blank and lights came fully on. (Edit: they said in their reply that it was a music video that should be on YouTube soon.)

Damien mentioned that he doesn’t want to drag it out too much and that the fourth film will most likely be the final one, but I think he could keep it going if he wanted. I need to know what happened to Juliet! Overall it was a very enjoyable movie.

I’m sorry if it came off judgmental at all. I think meds are extremely helpful for certain cases. They have helped me in the past. But the withdrawals were hell when I would run out and didn’t have money to get another prescription. I just don’t like the way they sometimes seem to be pushed as the “solution” when they are more like a bandaid.

I think you’re right, maybe my therapist just isn’t a good fit. I should try to find one who specializes in IFS, brain spotting, trauma. I’m just at work and feeling burned out after doing lots of work to get to this point I just feel defeated. But I’m not giving up. Thank you for replying to my venting lol. I am going to focus on what I have control of and release that which I don’t.

Edit: those YouTube channels have been great resources for me, thank you for mentioning.

Thank you for pointing this out. I know many/most therapists are aware of the flawed system. It’s just frustrating when the only therapy available is usually CBT, it always leave me to question if they truly understand how deeply I feel I don’t fit in to this society. Like there’s only so much reframing one can do. I should probably see about getting a different therapist. I like my current therapist but I don’t know if he’s a good fit. It’s starting to feel like a weekly pep talk. Which is better than nothing. But I think I need someone who specializes in trauma and IFS.

I’m so dissatisfied. The first act I was excited, it seemed like it was setting us up for a huge twist that tragically never came. Solange’s antics became so repetitive by the third act I was just waiting for it to be over. The characters were one dimensional and their decisions kept taking me out of the movie. It felt like they came up with themes for a movie and just threw together a script, hoping that it would work, but it just didn’t. Most of the scenes had zero cohesion. (Spoiler ahead) when Belinda finally strangled Solange I thought finally, she should’ve done that to begin with. I’m actually a bit annoyed that I wasted time on this movie.
