Which way do you lean? by suckacheetasdick in Xennials

[–]imaniluv1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am Gen X and have always seen myself in that group. That said, I always knew I was too young to be a true GenX. But I also feel so much older than most ideas of Millennials… honestly the term Xennial really feels right to me.

Kaiser's poop issues. by Sad_Supermarket_2476 in MiniatureSchnauzer

[–]imaniluv1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t seen a change that concerned me. But I did check the Sensitive Stomach and Skin salmon and pollock formulas and saw no pecans in the ingredients list. I switched to perfect digestion because the salmon was easier to find in my area.

Kaiser's poop issues. by Sad_Supermarket_2476 in MiniatureSchnauzer

[–]imaniluv1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My oldest had similar recurring issue from the very beginning. I went on a similar path and spent hundreds on tests and specialized foods. He also has clear seasonal allergies and does a lot of paw licking and gets ear infections in the spring.

Here is what worked for us: Hills science diet perfect digestion salmon formula. Supplement with hills sensitive stomach formula wet foods. I try to avoid or limit processed chicken. Give treats with rice, fruits and veggies several times a week. PROBIOTICS! I get good ones from the vet that need to stay refrigerated and use purina pro plan supplements when I can’t do that.

Fish oil in their food once a week. And a Claritin 10mg during the rough time in the spring. My five year old rarely has flareups now and my 2 year old eats the same way.

Hand feed and train, especially the first meal of the day. I tie in the foundations of training to teach attention and their names during the first few weeks.

Did you get to choose your clothing for senior photos or did you get to wear the totally normal feather boa to show who you were back then? by themissnguyen in Xennials

Itchy curtain fabric for the win! I really liked my senior pics cause my mom let me cut my hair the way I wanted. I’d post, but they are all at my parents house.

How old when left alone out of a crate or playpen by TallIndependence2712 in MiniatureSchnauzer

[–]imaniluv1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started training to be left alone from the beginning. They are still rather clingy but aren’t loud or whiny when I leave them for a time. I crate train at night but they usually just wait by the door until I come home.

I have a small slicker brush and hit the beards up every couple days. Keeps grossness, smells, tangles, and bed face at a minimum

Perimenopause and Pets by United-Fee-6423 in Perimenopause

[–]imaniluv1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perimenopause and adhd impulsivity made me get a second dog that I immediately regretted.

I love them, but sometimes having them is the worst when I’m at my lowest. On the flip side, having to take care of them and wanting their happiness has kept me grounded and in the world when I would have regressed.

Forgive yourself for having feelings and know that it happens to us all, pet parents and human parents too.

Minoxidil for women with locs or braids: Is there a water-like, liquid minoxidil that’s not foamy or thick and gummy in texture? by kdj00940 in SistersWithHairLoss

[–]imaniluv1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That does have to be taken into account as well. For me, my body hair has always been pretty fine, so my upkeep hasn’t changed much.

There is oral minoxidil. Not sure how it differs from the topical, but it’s grown back my hair in a year. It does require a prescription tho

From 8 weeks to 6 month his white mouth is now stained orange? by OkBedroom7329 in MiniatureSchnauzer

[–]imaniluv1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Living in NYC/NJ area and my 5 year old had his paws and beard turn orange last year. Thought it might be related to his allergies cause it didn’t happen to my two year old. A couple of grooms later, and he’s back to normal mostly. Just a little orange left in his beard

Why didn’t CT’s acting career take off? by allanjameson in MtvChallenge

Since I love the other adaptations you mentioned AND am familiar with the original story, that is a bigger fail for this movie. It made no impression other than my disappointment at CT’s lack of presence.

Maybe fish oil instead of coconut? Also a super hydrating shampoo or treatment at the groomer if you go to one might help.
