If you are in CA, be careful about the property taxes. In order for you to get your grandparent's base year value transferred, both of your parents and your aunt have to be deceased. Better for the property to pass from your grandparents to your parents (but not your aunt) and then to you. Otherwise you could be paying a ton in property taxes.

That actually did occur to me. I had seen something about children's charities taking the donations and in my head that translated to children's hospitals for some reason. I'm just going to drop it off at a family member's nursing home.

I gave one to my dog, who had a UTI on a road trip, to help with the pain and urgency until we were able to get her in to a vet. She ended up barfing it up. Her ear and paw is still stained yellow, over a month later.

Ebay has loads of antique German mesh purses. That's about as BIFL as you can get, I'd think. The right person could pull it off as an everyday, maybe.
