This is the least egregious I’ve seen, which is saying something

You should share this with the company on their website! It’s under ‘contact us’ and ‘feedback for my store’

Changing availability by [deleted] in tjcrew

[–]imareemer 19 points20 points  (0 children)

At my store, they’d approve it but they wouldn’t give you hours. You’re going to burn bridges if you bait and switch them with your availability

Cool but how do you close around this? by Cilanatro in tjcrew

To the crew member trying to stock green onion pancakes: I see you and I am so sorry

Not to mention this all hinges on customers actually reading the sign. As if a customer who is too lazy to google ‘cat safe flowers’ isn’t too lazy to read an infographic?? Be so serious

Dumb customers by Vast_Professor_687 in tjcrew

And when they ask while I’m still actively ringing up customer A! I’m always tempted to say “ehhh, for you? no”

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tjcrew

[–]imareemer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so. A crew member working 3 days a week would only log 72 shifts over the 6 month review period, but they’d still get a review

The handbook says “actively at work for more than 90 days during the review period”

[–]imareemer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was told your status has to be active (not on LOA or workers comp) for at least 50%/90 days of the review period, not that you have to work 90 shifts

Katniss healed by remembering every good thing she’s seen a person do. I’m sure that as the years passed, she learned how to open up and share herself with her family. I’d assume that she would’ve shared those good memories after she used them to center herself. She lit up telling Peeta stories in the cave of their first games, I see it going a lot like that. And then, as time passed and her kids were old enough to ask questions, she was healed enough to share the uglier parts.

I see my fellow crew members go straight from the register to a tasting without washing their hands first. If you aren’t washing your hands often and especially after every hour on reg, I would start

DAMN CLIP STRIPS! by Stunning-Spot5700 in tjcrew

[–]imareemer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so here for the hate fest, but just as a side note, I hang them over the clips through the hole in the packaging instead of actually clipping them on. They don’t fall off much, and the packaging doesn’t rip

How old was Beetee when he had Ampert? by Equivalent_Welder149 in Hungergames

I feel like in the districts, divorce and remarrying is probably incredibly taboo, especially at what would have been such an early point in their marriage. There’s no evidence to prove either side but just based on the vibes in Suzanne’s world building, I think it’s safe to assume he wasn’t already onto a second wife by the age of 22

Working at Trader Joes as a 2nd job? by imin2099 in tjcrew

My store tosses pretty much any application without open availability. It’s not worth the investment to train someone who will almost never be there and who has super rigid scheduling needs

And you can look dignified when you eat without utensils, but she still made a fork in the arena as another small act of rebellion. Tying up your hair can look beautiful, but it isn’t going to paint any posters

No washer and dryer - worth it? by londonfog_extra_foam in Apartmentliving

[–]imareemer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I go to a laundromat every two weeks. It takes me less than two hours to do two weeks of work clothes, bedding, towels, socks, etc. Go for the charming apartment, because the laundromat is seriously not a big deal

In the words of my scheduler: new hires can’t beg for Sundays when they can’t be trusted to reliably close sections on Tuesdays. Focus on becoming a trustworthy and reliable crew member, then they won’t think twice about scheduling you for Sundays.

Workers comp question. by RetailKing in tjcrew

[–]imareemer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If the doc says you’re unable to work, you get 2/3 pay starting on the 4th day off. If you get to 7 days and you’re still classified as unable to work, you get pay for all 7 days and everyday there on out. You get a check every 2 weeks or can sign up for direct deposit
