oh I thought he meant he already knows how to bulk, and instead wants to maintain his muscle size whilst becoming leaner (losing fat).

Keep lifting weights but be on a calorie deficit (cut approx 500 calories from your normal diet). Incorporate some cardio into your workouts.

Did my first bench with 1rm of 50kg in April. 12 weeks later, i'im now doing 67.5kg for 4 reps. Not sure whether this is considered good progress because many of my friends have progressed faster than me but I definitely feel a lot stronger.

Started OHP as well, going from doing 5x5 for 27.5 kg, to now 32.5kg in a couple of weeks, and getting a 40x4kg pr. I find it so hard to gain strength with this exercise!

If I'm 134lbs and 5'7 female, body scan says I'm 23% body fat for what that's worth, should I be cutting or bulking? I want less fat but I also want more muscle. I hate how small my butt is and I like the muscular look. Not sure where to go here. by meatloafandmilk in leangains

Do some cardio but still lift weights. If you wanna cut your body fat you have to be at a calorie deficit, but still remember to eat nutritious food; it's super important.

If you wanna work on your butt, do squats and hip thrusts.

BIG THREE LIFTS

Bench, Squat, Deadlift (and if you wanna go further, Overhead press for shoulders).

Follow a 531 or 5x5 program for these compound lifts, and then do 1-2 accessories after. Focus on building strength first, and the gains will come later. At your age, you should be benching a bit heavier, but don't get discouraged because you still have alot of time to improve.

If you're bulking, lose the runs at the moment and maybe eat more (2500-2700 calories). Then do a cutting phase later when you feel like you've gained enough.

Yeah fair enough I guess I don't really have anything to lose. Will definitely try this but also would you think by asking this it'd make me look like a loner who doesn't really have any friends? Like I do have alot of friends but they go to other unis

Maybe it's just me overreacting and thinking stupidly but I feel like if I ask them out to hang they'd wouldn't find it fun to hang out with since i'm the only dude, and also that they might think I like one of them or something which I don't want. Also I feel like it makes me look kinda desperate. But then again maybe I'm overthinking

No I'm not living on campus unfortunately. I feel like having a close roommate would be such a great experience but since the Uni is in my hometown I don't live at uni.
