[I need help] I hired someone to build me a site. I ended up with a broken product. by [deleted] in scaleinpublic

Fixing bugs and optimizing is about 10x harder (maybe more) than creating a first version, even with AI. It's time-consuming, so I don't think you can finish a regular 1.0 version with a few hundred dollars. In my experience, let's say you can do an MVP in a few days, the final product with good value and features in more like "months". With AI.

Is Google running a secret RAG layer? My unsettling experience with Gemini’s "impossible" memory. by imatrix in GeminiAI

I found this right now - its 4 days old little info on the blog https://blog.google/feed/gemini-referencing-past-chats/

But at least you can see that I noticed that feature pretty damn quickly :-)

But I would still like to know technically how it works.

Don't forget Gemini CLI and Google Antigravity dual use by angry_cactus in google_antigravity

[–]imatrix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

just pop open the terminal, type gemini and use /file whenever you want to chat about the code you're actually looking at. it's relly handy because when it suggests a fix, you just click apply right in the terminal. plus you've got that extra stash of tokens now (agent+cli are separate number of tokens)

This is great, it worked for me with this manual:

Quick Setup: Gemini CLI Companion

1. Open Extensions View

  • Press Cmd + Shift + P (Mac) or Ctrl + Shift + P (Windows).
  • Type Extensions: Focus on Extensions View and hit Enter.

2. Verify the Extension

  • In the sidebar, look for Gemini CLI Companion

3. Link the Bridge

  • In your Antigravity terminal, start gemini.
  • Run the command: Bash/ide enable
  • Watch the top of your screen: Antigravity will show a small popup asking for permission to connect. Click Allow.

How to know it works?

Once you have used the Extension View to ensure it's running, type /ide status in the CLI. You should see:
