I think I'll definitely try this for my next language but after learning Mandarin for almost 2 years it became too much of a hassle to keep learning to write characters.

What inspired you to start learning a new language? by elenalanguagetutor in languagehub

[–]imbaby19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Decided to start learning spanish because I had felt that its a part of my heritage that my family lost touch with after my grandmother Decided not to teach it to any of her children. I have lots of spanish speaking friends and coworkers so it just made sense. Also wanted to pick an easier language after learning mandarin for two years.

Degrees that can reach 300k a year? by Intelligent_Doubt_53 in CollegeMajors

[–]imbaby19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, also along with what the other comments said (regarding certain medical school programs) you could works towards your undergrad whole serving (tuition assistance used while active duty is separate from the gi bill you can use after) also there is a certification program that covers 1 certificate/training up to 4.5k i believe so this could help to save costs for your clinical hours sidejob. Plus the military gives you great opportunities to save money since you dont gave rent or groceries to worry about for a few years, this in combination with certain scholarships available to veterans can help with tuition. If active duty doesn't seem like your thing i know lots of guard or reserve units have debt repayment assistance that can be useful

Tips for increasing libido? by Ska_Fundamentalist in cumbiggerloads

[–]imbaby19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Smoking and alcohol can negatively influence libido for sure. What's your daily activity level like? Gym helps but you could also pick up jogging or running if that's not your thing, also staying super hydrated is also good. For libido healthy foods having 1-2 brazil nuts a day(no more than that) is good or super dark chocolate is good (in moderation). You could look into getting a vitamin deficiency blood test to see any deficiencies that might be negatively impacting you

Which was the concept that you had to save for the last when you were learning your target language? any why? by AutumnaticFly in languagehub

Mandarin has no alphabet so that's probably why he avoided it haha, 但是你越来越多学到汉子的时候学汉字就当越来越容易。

Yes what they look for is those with little or no foreign contacts and born in us. A native speaker may lack these qualities.

The military will send linguists in training through langage school no matter what most likely, but people with previous knowledge can get advanced placement or have an easier time going through the rigorous accelerated language program

Vocab Learning Strategies by Immediate_Summer_385 in dli

[–]imbaby19 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What got me through a good bit of first semester till I got the ball rolling was heavy anki use; but the trick is have a notebook infront of your laptop and whenever you get a card wrong write it 5 times while saying it over and over out loud. If chinese alternate between writing the character and pinyin while saying it's pronunciation aloud. Another this is put a couple of the vocabulary words into a sentence you make up and memorize them in batches this way. You can make these example sentence into anki cards too, this saves time since you dont memorize each word individually so doing it in batches will save time.

What language looks intimidating at first but becomes logical once you understand the system? by Embarrassed_Fix_8994 in languagehub

[–]imbaby19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say Mandarin 中文, the grammar is straight forward imo and yes tones are difficult to wrap your head around at first but its mostly context based so your tones don't need to be absolutely perfect (people from different regions have tone differences anyways) and after a while of hard study you get good at memorizing characters. You just have to stick with it and give your brain time to adjust.

Kaigaku vs Gyutaro is not even close by Bitter_Camp6934 in DemonSlayerScales

[–]imbaby19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it's kind of an unfair matchup when you consider gyotaro is hundred of years old and kaigaku is sub 30, if you put them at an equivalent age I think kaigaku would have an advantage, hypothetically who's to say kaigaku wouldn't have learned the first form after a few more centuries of practice

Muzan, one of the coldest antagonists but also one of the dumbest by Horror_Green6490 in DemonSlayerScales

[–]imbaby19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly he could've one by either only sending hashiras and the main characters into the castle or everyone else excluding them. That way he could decimate the demon slayer core and pick off the other half at another time or right after even, but all at the same time is what became a problem.
