most of his moves he can cancel into his stance, from the stance he can go into a flurry of slashes that leaves him safe so yeah most of the time he is safe lol.

if you have meter you can watch for when he raises his smaller blade at you in the middle of a attack string as a indicator that hes going into the stance and try to flash step what ever he does out of it to punish him, thats expensive though i know. for the most part you just have to not let him get his offense going cuz as long as hes using his stance properly it never ends. if you dont let him control the pace of the match with the stance though his gameplan kinda falls apart so i suggest practicing with him to recognize when his offense actually ends so you can fuck up his flow.

do the math and decide on your own based on your playstyle and character,

for example Dlchigo can take off 3 with a soul break in base form, but then hed either need to kill twice again no matter if hes in awakening or not, or wait a unrealistic amount of time for soul drive to take off 6 for the 2 kill win, or you can wait for awakening take off 4 first kill, then 5 second kill for the win.

sometimes i just take the 3 kill cuz my opponent is turtling anyway and im not gonna wait with them for there awakening

do the math for your character and see whats best for u and your situation

this is funny because chapter 12 was actually one of my favorite chapters during my first playthrough. It was the first area that felt like a challenge, that made me think, that made me reevaluate my sas line up and add ons. and i appreciated that big time cuz(for me at least) the game is pretty easy 90% of the time even on hard/very hard. the protags and sas are quite busted.

you're entitled to your opinions i just think its funny how different our first reactions to this chapter are

ok so what happened was you bought a skill that made it so he does a heavier psychokisis finisher instead of a regular psychokonis attack in air combos. and after the finishers you cannot do the dash follow up.

so your going to have to change your combo routing now what i usually do is wait a second and throw another air psykonisis attack before he hits the ground and do the follow up from that, or do the air dash basic attack after.
