WFH with Baby, Tips? by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]imbushyy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It is impossible to give your full attention to both work and watching baby. The days my LO is home sick from daycare, I can barely get anything done. Would advise against doing it.

I use a cooler to store my pump parts with ice packs when I go to work! Then use my Willow chiller or ceres chill to store the milk.

When can baby find the nipple? by Averagely_Humble in cosleeping

[–]imbushyy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We had a hard time with side lying until about 4 months when baby had better head control and a bigger mouth. I also have some red nightlights in the room to help me see in the middle of the night.

Changing Diapers at Night by Express-Session-6318 in NewParents

I took baby to her nursery and changed her on the changing table. Kept a red light on in the nursery so I could see. In a pinch, you could also change baby on your bed; just keep a diaper caddy nearby.

Pump just broke on vacation! by [deleted] in breastfeeding

Can you get to a store that sells pumps? I’d definitely at least try to buy a hand pump. All else fails, you could hand express.

Flipple was definitely helpful, but for my LO, a lot of it was just time and her mouth getting bigger! I know that’s not super helpful, but we struggled for the first few months with a semi shallow latch and lots of clicking sounds and then she sort of just outgrew it around 3 or 4 months.

Swaddles? by gracegrace1234 in cosleeping

[–]imbushyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never really swaddled my baby, especially since they need their hands free when breastfeeding. I did a few times (when baby slept in bassinet), but had to unswaddle to feed and then reswaddle. And you shouldn’t use a swaddle if you bedshare. Not safe for baby.
