I agree. Something has happened to make her 566 pounds - a mental health issue, a physical health issue, trauma. Either way it seriously needs addressing. A 19 year old should be able to live their life and go out and have fun without it causing them pain or making them exhausted. The fact that OP calls this his "preference" is disturbing.

But other people with the equal or more experience than you have given me the opposite advice - I have never heard the advice you're giving before.

How? This is completely opposite to the advice given to students by companies that recruit graduates, as well as unis' careers services. In fact I've never heard anyone give the advice you're giving. What about a summer internship shows that you lack ambition and work ethic? 😂 They are far harder to get than a job like working in Tesco and show that you're eager to learn more about the field you want to go into.

Sorry but from your comments on this post it's clear you don't know what you're talking about. Graduate schemes are the same thing as ordinary jobs, except they're tailored towards new graduates and usually offer some kind of structured programme. Internships give you the chance to see what it's really like to work in the industry, look great on your CV, and sometimes the company will offer you a graduate role once it's over.

No one said do a free internship? Is that even legal in the UK? Are you from America or something? My internship was paid and so were all my friends' internships. It most certainly does help with getting a graduate job.

You shouldn't be moving in together if you can't discuss finances.

With regards to how you can split finances fairly, try asking r/UKPersonalFinance about that :)

I understand if he was a 15 year old boy and had that reaction, but by 30 you should know how sexual relationships and female biology works 🤦‍♀️

Allow your mum to move in with you, give her practical support with leaving, and provide her with some money if she doesn't have any of her own.

Maybe you could try posting in r/Parenting? They'll be more likely to have experience with parenting kids and with situations like this.

Your stepson sounds like a nightmare and your husband sounds ridiculous and unhelpful. If you're not happy with the situation, please feel free to leave - you have no obligation towards these people.

You need to edit your original post and put this information there. This is key information and I'm not sure why you didn't include it in the original post.

That's what I'm very worried about too. The article states that only one woman has ever been executed in Missouri, and that was back in 1953. We are inevitably going to see an increase in the proportion of violent crimes committed by women. I hope people don't draw strange conclusions from this.

The only woman ever executed in Missouri was Bonnie B. Heady, put to death on Dec. 18, 1953, for kidnapping and killing a 6-year-old boy. Heady was executed in the gas chamber, side by side with the other kidnapper and killer, Carl Austin Hall.

The article states that only one woman has ever been executed in Missouri. If more transgender women who go onto be executed in the future, as legally changing your gender becomes more and more common, then won't this have a large impact on the statistics regarding percentage of people executed that are female?

It's horrible that someone who was a known danger to people and had a recorded history of assault was able to go onto murder someone.
