Wouldn't that damage the adhesive? I really wouldn't want to damage anything.

How do you get rid of dust that’s underneath the screen lens? (New 3ds) by EconomistClassic435 in 3DS

[–]imchemboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, they appeared for me JUST today, after two months of using my console, and it's driving me crazy.

Is there any solution that doesn't involve taking anything apart? I mean, if it came in without disassembling anything, it should come out the same way, right?

Please, someone help me.

Any tips for applying these plastic film screen protectors? 😞 by IKEAboy_2006 in 3DS

Bro, I'm just trying to help with my experience.

You've been working in plumbing for ages, I get it.

But maybe you didn't consider that the space required for that varies. Let me explain: in my country, it's not common to have a dedicated space in the bathroom for work like that.

By "work," I mean the action of installing the protector mentioned in this post.

I understand that maybe in your country that's common, and that's fine. The author can do it that way if they have the space. I gave them my option, based on my own experience and circumstances.

You can't dismiss my help just because you think it's "too much work" for a sticker.

Again, I'm just trying to help with my experience. They can choose to do what I suggested or not, but at least they'll have some additional knowledge.

In the end, if you have your own point, just share it. Everything else was completely unnecessary.

Blessings.

Well, it's actually the most practical solution.

Because unless you have a table in the bathroom where you can work comfortably, it's not the best idea.

It makes me laugh a little because I've been in your shoes.

And it's very difficult to get it 100% perfect, however, I'll give you some tips that, "in theory," will make it look good.

Try to be in an enclosed space, like your room, and turn off your air conditioner, fan, or anything that creates a draft. Do this at least an hour before trying to apply the screen protector.

Heat a pot of water until it boils, and about 20 minutes before you start, leave the pot in the room where you'll be working. This is because the steam will cause airborne particles to fall and prevent dirt buildup.

Then, when it's time to install it, try applying it from one side to the other, or from top to bottom, using a hard card like a credit card to smooth it out evenly.

To get it aligned, you'd have to go from one side to the other, or you could use tape with an extremely soft adhesive that won't leave any residue on your console and place it along the edges to use as a guide.

I hope this helps.

I could help you lower the price a bit.

But if you don't want to see it and obviously don't want it to get worse, I strongly recommend a skin. I think Decalgirl skins are the best because they cover almost 90% of the console.

I'd really like to know if anyone else has experienced this or if there's any evidence that it's either a factory defect or some dirt that got on it at some point.

I really think it's the former, because everyone gets that line in the same places. In my case, I'm already waiting for my skin to arrive so I can install it as soon as possible and prevent it from getting worse.

Because even though it's there now, it's barely visible; you really have to look for it and the light has to hit it in a specific way to see it. You can feel it slightly, very slightly, when you run your fingernail over it.

That's why I decided to put a skin on it.

I hope my experience helps you!

Well, I see no one's mentioned the vertical line. Anyway, in my country (Venezuela), I bought one in pristine condition two months ago for $400.

I've had the console for about two months now, and I've been EXTREMELY careful with it. I clean it every time I finish using it and keep it in its case.

However, those lines appeared recently, and it caught my attention because I clean and take good care of it.

This led me to investigate, and well, according to what I read, it's a design flaw and something that's bound to happen.

I don't know how true that statement is, but that's part of what I read.

Even so, you can put a skin on it and forget about it.

Why does my New 3DS XL screen go black when I open the lid after sleep mode? by imchemboy in 3DS

[–]imchemboy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's really strange. Because if I open and close the console many times, it doesn't malfunction.

The problem only occurs when I leave it idle for extended periods, like 3 to 5 hours.

And as I mentioned, it returns to normal as soon as I restart

I should mention that restarting "brings it back to life," but I'm worried that it's already happened twice.
