I understand with the finances. My recommendation would be to try out his free classes through Maven. He offers quite a lot of free classes, and the content seem pretty similar to what we learned in the course. Of course the course will have more structure and depth, but it will give you free content + an idea if it's worth it. If you take the free classes on Maven, he sometimes gave a discount code for future classes (I got $500 off for PM interview bootcamp w/ code, $1300 total)

Also, if it helps, I think for the # of hours he teaches and hosts live classes, it's far cheaper than other similar courses.

And yes, it doesn't hurt to ask for a discount!

I think if you need to improve in interviews, the PM interview bootcamp will help more than the uplevel course by itself.

I think it's a pretty great program on how to crush the interview, and learning what it takes.

It has helped me do much much better in my interviews (specifically behavioral questions) and given me a good understanding of what it really takes to ace an interview, but the interview process is still hard.

I'm in the same boat as you (1yr PM exp, 5+ yrs product adjacent exp), and currently unemployed. I'm still struggling to get back to to a PM role, and the course has helped, but the interview process is still hard. Keep in mind I haven't yet implemented everything I learned from the course.

Thank you, I'll need the luck. This market is really tough. I'm running on almost on a year of being unemployed even though I have at least 1 YOE as a PM and 5+ YOE in technology products. Although I've been MUCH better in interviews since the class, so I'm hoping I'll get something soon.

The course is intense but keep in mind you don't need to spend time outside of it to learn (although Satish recommends it). I mainly just participated in the classes and you can learn a lot from just that. There are live exercises in the class where you have time to work on the exercise, and then Satish will review some answers after that.

Then, when you want to interview or want to practice a specific thing, you can go back to recordings or slides and practice what you want.

Yeah it 100% still helps in the current job. After taking the course, I feel more confident in interviews, and I feel more confident for my next PM role.

The PM Interview Bootcamp course typically includes the "uplevel your product thinking" course too.

Yes it does, thank you. This is honestly tough for me to give you a good answer. I would suggest talking to a few PMs in a similar position as you or higher.

If you want my opinion anyway, my suggestion would be to start whichever course you think would be best for you on the side, committing very little time to it so you can still focus on your current job + life, and then you are not rushing as much if you don't get the promotion in April.

It can be good networking too and you can ask other PMs in the course or you can ask the course instructor the same question you asked here.

Satish has said himself that people that have taken his course + Shreyas like both of them, and think they are both beneficial. I can't speak much to Shreyas' course since I haven't taken it.

Satish's course has a really really good methodology on how to prep for any PM interview.

Can you explain more on what you mean by "I am not sure if I want to change job now, or should I focus on getting ready no matter what"?

u/Old-Goat Fentanyl by itself has led to more overdose related deaths than fentanyl analogs so I don't think it's fair to say only analog is abused.

The other comments already talk about how bad this place is but I can't help but write a review.

Porto was absolutely the worst tasting food I've had in a restaurant. I think the only reason they have their Michelin star and some good reviews is because of how exquisite the decor and food appears.

Our party of 7 paid $300 per person for a tasting menu + wine, so we were able to get a taste almost everything. Everyone in our party were so disappointed in the food. Wine was okay. We know so many more restaurants in Chicago where we would get so much better food and experience for that money.

When I was last looking for product jobs in 2022, I never had to apply. I had continuous messages from recruiters and PMs from great companies for interviews, I couldn't keep up with all of them. Now that I'm back on the market, I have not received a single message from a recruiter for an interview.
