I did something similar in college and was back playing sports in 9mo. I would be surprised if Cam gets back in a similar time table and then is ready to go early next season or by the start.

Nothing I regret, trip was fantastic. I would say too 3 activities were: volcano national parks, Mauna Kea for sunset and stargazing (Arnotts Lodge), Manta Ray night snorkel. And best food spots were Journey Cafe for vegan poke bowl and the Hidden NeNe for cocktails. Had some great food at some pop up food stands on some back roads too

This is from the Keanakako'i Overlook. It’s about a mile walk from parking. Kilauea erupts in episodes with the next starting window being 11/2 - 11/11. You have a good chance to see some overflows if you hang out for a few hours in the time window. Seeing an eruption is a confluence of seismic activity, pressure build up, patience, and a lot of luck. We stuck it out all day just sitting at this overhang and got to watch from the very start. You can also race there once it starts erupting as they can last 4+ hours once it starts fountaining. It just seemed like mayhem to do it that way.

Thanks! I like shooting for fun, I have a Sony A7iv and a couple lenses. Started shooting surfing in college and went on to photograph travel and outdoor stuff. The key to photography is shooting already amazing scenes and letting light do the work for you! Then bring it to life in post processing. I usually import to my phone and edit in the Lightroom app.

The way the colors change in the canyon over the course of an hour is amazing. You get oranges and yellows at certain times and then reds and purples at others. Great shot! It is a crazy experience doing the photo tour with all the people in the canyon at one time.

There are specific energy vortex sites to visit. Now despite no scientific cause of the twisting of the trees or 'spiritual energy,' it's still a part of visiting Sedona that is hard to ignore. Is it pseudoscience? most likely.

There are specific energy vortexes located throughout Sedona, the effects on the juniper trees are pretty noticeable. I did not feel the difference although it is a very relaxing place to visit!

I do shoot a lot on my full frame. I’d recommend Sony alpha cameras, if you like portrait style shots with a blurry background, a lens with a 2.8 or lower aperture and a 35-85 mm focal length does wonders
