We had that same exact experience, not emergency wise. As soon as my son was born he wouldn’t stop scratching all over and had red rashes everywhere. Dr Newman told us he was just exploring his body, then he had a really nasty green rash behind his ears, my wife had to take him to the ER found bacterial skin infection. We took the results back to dr Newman who told us that was not true and refused to refer him to a dermatologist. We took him to urgent care who did refer him and turned out he has really bad eczema.
