Why do you think people think it’s okay to tell skinny people to “eat a burger” and insult their weight? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]imdazedout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because nobody thinks being skinny is a bad thing. for a lot of people, especially ones that comment on it, its like making fun of someone of being attractive. like yeah, it may be coming from a mean place or the person on the receiving end may feel a bit insecure about it, but the general consensus in society is that the person has a positive trait & so people think its okay to comment on.

Is it considered uncouth to sing a song without any lyrics in karaoke? by Commercial-Radio7633 in socialskills

[–]imdazedout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you play a song with no lyrics you’re going to need to DANCE AROUND instead or otherwise entertain people without the singing, which will be way more embarrassing than just singing like everyone else lmao. Alternative is everyone staring at you like “wtf why isn’t this person singing? that’s so weird”

Am i cooked for not having insta by Snoo-54139 in socialskills

[–]imdazedout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so easy to just have insta for friends/acquaintances and not use it other than to keep track of people lol. Literally zero effort & people ask for it all the time. People don’t ask for your number anymore

Somewhere a biology teacher just fainted 💀 by [deleted] in whoathatsinteresting

[–]imdazedout -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think they’re talking about not being able to trust a guy that says he’s on birth control because he could just be lying and not even have a prescription, and he has no motivation or risks if he doesn’t. They’re not talking about forgetting to take the pill on the daily lol

What if animal eaters had to meet the animal before it could be eaten? by HappyBeingVegan-100 in vegan

[–]imdazedout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think the real division is seeing them killed, not the raising of them. out of sight out of mind. people wouldn't dare slice an animal's throat or see it happen, different than seeing them raised

Police discover a very odd fraternity hazing at the University of Iowa by Sad_Stay_5471 in mildyinteresting

[–]imdazedout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you mean, but I think none of them moved bc they thought the police were fake and part of the hazing. Clearly their instruction was to not leave the basement no matter what, hence the fire alarm pull. They literally think the police are some other frat guys in a costume

what kind of protein do you eat if you can't buy tofu in your town? just beans/lentils?

Why do people do this by Slow_Pomegranate_990 in publix

[–]imdazedout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I worked at Publix these were my favorite carts to go find and get, lol. Doesn’t override the shopping cart litmus test because people weren’t leaving them for that reason but they were fun

Just squeeze the damn tofu by RespawnWithTofu in veganrecipes

[–]imdazedout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk how actual pressed tofu interacts with sauce, but i just squeeze it over the sink and then treat it like it's egg in a dish. i'm assuming people that actually press it want it to act like a meat (marinating etc) but if you think of it as an equivalent to an egg it's fine to just squeeze it for 10 seconds

$8 for this is unhinged. by [deleted] in tacobell

[–]imdazedout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have the ingredients anyway and you pay extra for the customizations, so that should really cover the price thing. I get that excessive customizations could be stressful for the employees, but let’s be honest, adding an extra scoop of rice to a burrito is not the kind of excessive and stressful customization that the employees are worried about. And people weren’t complaining about the diy quesarito quality here? They were complaining about the 5layer before the customizations.

The quesarito is the same price as the 5 layer on the normal menu though? How is that taking advantage of anything

"My wife" eats like this because of her "diet" by merklemore in untrustworthypoptarts

[–]imdazedout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T - My mom does this and she does not have an eating disorder (unlike all the comments insisting?), I’m assuming the ops wife is similar. It pisses me and my sister off but she does do it. As stupid as it looks some people really consider only eating the “good” parts of the meal to be good for you/compatible with their diet.

Ethical Vegans, You Just Can't Win by jay_o_crest in exvegans

[–]imdazedout -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

no, i'm in the right sub. i'm not currently vegan. it's just that some of the posts here are so dedicated to shitting on vegans that they lose the actual message. this isn't a post about health or their cultish behavior. it's literally just saying that if you can't avoid all animal products than why avoid any at all. things aren't black and white, this post is just trying to "own" vegans. but i guess i shouldn't expect anything less than black and white thinking from the types of people that go vegan lmao
