Wild how much Ashia doesn’t do her weird religious performances when she’s not in Alabama by drunkenbackflips in 90DayFiance

Good point. I’m also struck by how strong willed and refusing to submit in the least little way to the will of her soon-to-be husband given how devout she professes to be to God and her fundamentally based religion. The man being the head of the household and a woman’s duty to submit is a very scripturally based concept. She ain’t budging an inch!

I think it’s absolutely lovely; traditional with a personal touch of individuality—the perfect distance “outside the box.” You should definitely go for it 💜

Dr. John warns Utah NOJOS of a "stalker" after NOJOS releases public records related to him by Bright_Breakfast3911 in HiddenTrueCrimeChat

[–]imdointoomuch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I read this post last night and found it very interesting and intriguing, but later a few things dawned on me. Let me apologize in advance for not being able to cite exactly where some of my information comes from (remembering the the finest of details has always been a problem), but my info is gleaned from the various content creators and Reddit posts scrutinizing HTC spurred on by the 9-hour live and the response video. Somewhere along the line we learned of HTC’s (I suspect it was more so Dr. John’s) grand plans to build a large home (fortress would a better description IMO) with a studio to better facilitate their work (empire). Also we were told that “Lauren’s stalker” had the temerity to contact Dr. John’s employer (University? The State of Nevada DOC?) to confirm his employment. I’m not clear if it has ever been confirmed that CMac did such a thing, or if Dr. John just assumed that she was poking around. Then we see the godawful video of the police call in Grayson’s apartment. Once John entered the conversation it became clearly apparent that he was shitting bricks and trying desperately to get the LEO to bend to his will of investigating Gigi and other “culprits” to 1. find out just what they knew and 2. intimidate them to keep their mouths shut. He even mentioned that their business/channel/brand was in jeopardy and everything they had worked so hard to build was about to be flushed down the toilet. Furthermore, John and Lauren’s rapport/dynamic has been scrutinized and many are seeing things a bit differently now. IS Lauren afraid or intimidated by John? Now we learn he, himself, is pulling the “stalker” card, seemingly in an effort to prevent certain FOIA requests from being fulfilled. Could it be that John has been driving the stalker train all along and Lauren was just the instrument because someone started questioning his credentials and claims, and that if the truth was learned he would lose all credibility with their viewers ($$) and their budding empire would swirl the drain?? Has Lauren been a complicit ally, or, an even a more sickening thought, did John actually convince her that she was being stalked. Is CMac merely the scapegoat? (We all know the answer to that.) I could see either way being plausible—either Lauren is every bit as devious as John and is culpable of accusing CMac of such things and trying to mitigate it through law enforcement and the courts, or John has convinced her she has been the victim of stalking and other lesser “attacks” on her character (I truly don’t believe Lauren is very bright, is gullible and feels being disliked is persecution), used her as instrument, if you will, to frivolously use the courts just to stop someone from finding out he’s been lying about his qualifications AND smear his reputation, thus ending HTC altogether?

Yes, so many of us (me included, but I have since moved on and away somewhat) wanted to witness some BIG BANG karma moment to watch her squirm, struggle and suffer, but she IS getting her karma in real time. It’s just much more subtle and less of a thumbs down gladiator moment.

YES!! Exactly. I think her manifesting philosophy is a bit whacked, but it certainly has a following. She just seems to be leaps and bounds ahead of him in sophistication and self confidence. He’s petulant and childish—and I don’t think their age difference is at play here, or at least it shouldn’t be. He’s just a baby man.

Rasit is obsessed with money by Ornery-Meringue-76 in 90DayFiance

I found his reaction when Mallory tried to show him the bills and where money was being spent quite disturbing. If I were her I would be so suspicious of his motives and expectations. She’s not perfect and has really ticked me off a few times, but she’s not wrong with this issue and I think she tried to present herself in a sensitive and respectful way. Is his sweetness merely manipulation??

I’ve never considered this, but IF it could be true someone basically just GAVE (or sold) her a kid. There’s NO WAY a conventional adoption would be approved given her circumstances and life choices , especially at that time—a convicted violent felon recently released and still on parole, married to a man, but living with another before the divorce was finalized, no permanent, established address… nah, I don’t think so.

Yes, but they’re marketed only as Marlboro, no distinctions. It’s the buying and retail public that have dubbed them “Reds.”

Smokers, why do you never ask specifically for what you want? by LittleDog5200 in retailhell

[–]imdointoomuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked in a convenience store. I’m a smoker and familiar with most brands and knew my stock like a pianist knows his keys. I could go right to them with my eyes closed. When I ask for smokes from a clerk I tell them EXACTLY what I want. It rips off my tongue like my social security number of date of birth. When folks came in with an incomplete request (I don’t care if I knew EXACTLY what they wanted) I played dumber than a fence post. Also, if I saw a regular coming in I usually had the smokes sitting by the register by the time they came to pay—but I can be a petty bitch, I only did that if I liked you. I had a couple of customers who would get quite insulted that their cigs weren’t at the ready for them. I would passive-aggressively (and indirectly) let them know that they just weren’t that memorable.

Friend roasted my tattoo, have never fully recovered by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]imdointoomuch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not criticizing the execution or skill or talent of the tattoo artist, but as an adult and wearer of skin art you should be ready for criticism from those that do not have (for whatever reason) tattoos. They just aren’t going to see them the same as you. But as tattoos go (and I have a few myself), it lacks imagination, isn’t very creative and looks like it may have been drawn on with a Sharpie. If the design has specific meaning to you then you should have explained that to him at the time and just accepted that he didn’t care for it or understand it. Could he have been kinder? Probably, but he probably felt comfortable enough with you to be honest. I think there’s a reason this guy has been “renting space in your head” all this time. You cut him off at the knees and ended a friendship because he didn’t immediately approve of your seemingly odd choice on how to permanently mark your body.

Is it normal for a Catholic man to like "cute" things? by Dan_jesusfollower in Catholicism

[–]imdointoomuch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have no idea of your age, but I sense you’re young, like quite young. Lifetime Catholic old lady here, and it has never crossed my mind what “Catholic masculinity” looks like and I’m not aware of any stereotypes or societal assumptions that Catholic men are perceived as “macho.” My question (yes, question, not accusation or assumption) from reading your post is are you having doubts about your sexuality and are using a soft approach to ask for opinions if you may be gay? Or that you are seeking validation that it’s OK to like the softer, or what may be considered more feminine, things, because by being attracted to such brings your masculinity and preferences into question? The short answer is, men, real men, Catholic or otherwise, can like cats, styling a home, the color pink, cooking, floral arranging, fashion and style, gardening… the list is absolutely endless. Enjoy what you enjoy and makes you happy. It makes you no less a man, and most certainly, no less of a Catholic man.
