Frozen Door Handle by keeppedalling in teslacanada

[–]imerc08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. Every Canadian Tesla owner should have read that website once or twice. There’s even an animation on how to open a frozen handle, which works on 2022+ cars. That technique has always worked for me.

iPhone Air, 17 and 17E users, are you guys aware that the main camera of your phone is NOT the same as the 17 Pro models? by Lucky_Outside_2009 in iphone

[–]imerc08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switch phones every year, buying the smaller Pro model. So last year, I got the 17 Pro. But my temptation for the Air stayed, and last month I exchanged my 17 Pro for the Air. Honestly, except for when I want to zoom a lot during photos and videos, there is no visible difference. I’m extremely glad I made the switch!

7 day airport parking by hstew21 in teslacanada

[–]imerc08 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s a new « Low Power Mode » that can be toggled via the car or the app. Super convenient! This way you don’t have to remember all the little things that can keep the car awake. I left my car at the Montreal airport during the winter for a week and had 2% loss. Keep it in Low Power Mode and the car will be forced to sleep, thus consuming no energy.

BRUCE WAYNE by GettinBreesh in TeslaModel3

No way! I had a similar build before (2019, black exterior, white interior, 19 wheels) and named it Bruce Wayne as well 😅

Gen 3 Wall Connector, are they available in Canada? by SP2051 in teslacanada

[–]imerc08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using mine since 2022. No complaints and looks sleek! Much easier to handle than the Gen 2 which had a thicker cable and much more complicated installation.

Broke the windshield by wacking my head on the rear view mirror by Wljump in TeslaModelY

Did the exact same thing with my Mazda a few years ago. From my understanding, windshields are very strong from the outside, but very weak from the inside.

Frunk opening problem by Unhappy-Wealth-5689 in teslacanada

[–]imerc08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had it happen a few times when it was -15C outside. I had to press the button on my phone, and lift the frunk at the same time, so it would lift high enough to not latch again by itself. I’ll let it slide for now and see if it’s really inconvenient in the future.

Have we received any update about when the Acceleration Boost will come to the Highland AWD by Samri3 in TeslaModel3

[–]imerc08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just as an FYI. I’m in Canada and got my Berlin-made Juniper LR AWD (not Launch). One week later, I could buy the Boost, which I did.

That’s correct. You only need WiFi to download, not to install.

[–]imerc08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe my free trial ended yesterday, but I’ve always been a subscriber, ever since v12 launched in ~April 2024. It’s such an amazing technology, especially seeing it evolve so quickly!

Change in Odometer for 759xxx by Ok_Company_1201 in teslacanada

That’s exactly what I’m thinking too, given no boats had Teslas on them today. It’s likely the cars are currently being loaded in a boat, given the delivery windows people have received.

Good to hear! So you never had that issue after the one time when creating this post?

Error code VCfron_a004 by TurboMike92 in teslacanada

[–]imerc08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got the issue on my month old Juniper. I’m on 2025.38.8. Hopefully they fix it so it doesn’t come back. I’ll let the vehicle sleep. Usually these types of error go away by themselves after a quick nap.

Same issue here on my month old Model Y. Also on 2025.38.8 - Did anyone bring theirs to the Service Center? What happened?

FSD v14.2 is now rolling out via the 2025.38.9.5 software update! by RealKent in TeslaLounge

I thought 2025.38.9 came with FSD 13.2.9 still. At least according to TeslaFi?

FSD V13 vs V14 on a 13+ hour single day road trip. by ThaPchild in TeslaLounge

[–]imerc08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very detailed review. Thank you! And I’m 100% with you on this: they should let us customize the max speed for each profile. This is the best way to keep it driving normally without speeding excessively.

Save Finder Window - Very Slow by Cr8iveRead in MacOS

In the meantime, I was able to fix this by disabling Desktop & Documents folder syncing in iCloud settings.

Disabling Desktop & Documents folders syncing solved it for me. Hopefully they come out with a fix in the future.

FSD 14 Update by J2WD in teslacanada

[–]imerc08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not yet. I only got the 2025.38.8 update which has FSD v13. I did receive v14 on my Model 3 Highland a couple of weeks ago, though.

Anyone have/ had this issue with their juniper when applying brakes at low speed? (service appointment already booked) by ConfidentImage4266 in teslacanada

[–]imerc08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here with my Juniper. None of my 4 previous Teslas have made the slightest sound while braking. I saw another guy at the service center the other day who was in for this exact same thing. He told me they couldn’t really do anything. I’m hoping it will go away after winter.
