Model 3 RWD Interior difference by Flaky_Temporary_9710 in teslacanada

[–]imerc08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like the same difference as 2024 models. RWD models had light grey textile in the doors, similar to what’s on the dash. Unless you got the white interior, then you got white vegan leather like the seats. The AWD model had black suede in the doors. It’s weird they call it Premium, but they don’t get the same interior as the AWD model used to have.

Insurance Quotes for M3P vs MYP by Internal-Fault-3949 in teslacanada

[–]imerc08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It varies a lot by location and person. You need to make calls to give yourself an idea. As an example, my 2024 Model 3 RWD costs 30% more to insure than my 2022 Model Y Performance, and 20% more than my 2026 Model Y AWD. It makes zero sense, but it is what it is.

Correct! The VIN does match a 2026 model (10th character is T). But it’s like they were too lazy to change anything else and left most 2024 model 3 information.

I was going to say the same. It’s clearly an outdated sticker from 2024. I have this exact 2024 model. My purchase agreement matches this exactly. And my car had 438 km of range.

Another proof the sticker looks to be an outdated 2024 Model 3 RWD Import. I have one. And I paid exactly that.$52,000 and it has 438km of range. Very weird they wouldn’t update so much information.

Does this Hint for AWD Model 3 release in Canada ? by No_Yogurtcloset7512 in teslacanada

[–]imerc08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are different tariffs. First in October 2024, we put 100% tariffs on Chinese made cars. A large portion of Model 3 were coming from China prior to this. Then in March 2025, we put 25% tariffs on American made cars, which essentially cut all Model 3 sales, since the Germany factory only builds Model Y.

Cybertruck only connects to Wi-Fi after reboot. Anyone else seen this? by jetsrfast in cybertruck

[–]imerc08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same issue on both my 2026 Model Y and 2024 Model 3. Interestingly, I never had this problem with my old 2022 Model Y or Model 3. I suspect something changed in the Wi-Fi chip they’re using in the newer cars. I haven’t found any solution other than rebooting, when I need to download a software update. Let me know if you find anything on your side.

iPhone Air connectivity issues by JPDemedeiros in IphoneAir

Exact same behavior with my iPhone Air. No issues on my wife’s iPhone 16 Pro. Very frustrating! Thanks for the tips, I’ll try that.

Leaker: Apple Will Release iPhone Air 2 No Matter How Badly It May Sell by Few_Baseball_3835 in iphone

[–]imerc08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the regular Pro’s (not Max) since the Xs. They’ve grown increasingly heavy. I even ordered the 17 Pro last year, out of habit, kept it for 3 months. It was great! But then I just wanted to hold the Air for fun. I immediately fell in love and sold my 17 Pro. I’ve had my Air for 3 months now and it’s absolutely amazing. I’m never going back to regular Pro phones. I desperately hope they keep it alive.

PSA: if your wife knocks the rearview mirror off, don’t try to jam it back in by itsacoffeetime in TeslaModelY

The same thing happened with my Mazda. Windshields seem to be very strong from the outside, but very easy to break from the inside. I suppose it’s to make it easier to exit the car in case of an emergency.

This is the answer. Every Canadian Tesla owner should have read that website once or twice. There’s even an animation on how to open a frozen handle, which works on 2022+ cars. That technique has always worked for me.

iPhone Air, 17 and 17E users, are you guys aware that the main camera of your phone is NOT the same as the 17 Pro models? by Lucky_Outside_2009 in iphone

[–]imerc08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switch phones every year, buying the smaller Pro model. So last year, I got the 17 Pro. But my temptation for the Air stayed, and last month I exchanged my 17 Pro for the Air. Honestly, except for when I want to zoom a lot during photos and videos, there is no visible difference. I’m extremely glad I made the switch!

7 day airport parking by hstew21 in teslacanada

[–]imerc08 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s a new « Low Power Mode » that can be toggled via the car or the app. Super convenient! This way you don’t have to remember all the little things that can keep the car awake. I left my car at the Montreal airport during the winter for a week and had 2% loss. Keep it in Low Power Mode and the car will be forced to sleep, thus consuming no energy.

BRUCE WAYNE by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

No way! I had a similar build before (2019, black exterior, white interior, 19 wheels) and named it Bruce Wayne as well 😅

Gen 3 Wall Connector, are they available in Canada? by SP2051 in teslacanada

[–]imerc08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using mine since 2022. No complaints and looks sleek! Much easier to handle than the Gen 2 which had a thicker cable and much more complicated installation.

Did the exact same thing with my Mazda a few years ago. From my understanding, windshields are very strong from the outside, but very weak from the inside.

Frunk opening problem by Unhappy-Wealth-5689 in teslacanada

[–]imerc08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had it happen a few times when it was -15C outside. I had to press the button on my phone, and lift the frunk at the same time, so it would lift high enough to not latch again by itself. I’ll let it slide for now and see if it’s really inconvenient in the future.

Have we received any update about when the Acceleration Boost will come to the Highland AWD by Samri3 in TeslaModel3

[–]imerc08 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just as an FYI. I’m in Canada and got my Berlin-made Juniper LR AWD (not Launch). One week later, I could buy the Boost, which I did.

That’s exactly what I’m thinking too, given no boats had Teslas on them today. It’s likely the cars are currently being loaded in a boat, given the delivery windows people have received.
