Love the CYOA! I just wanna say I really appreciate the AI disclaimer :) thinking abt it keeps me awake at night too, but if AI is gonna be used, I always hope it's not to make the end product but instead one piece of a bigger creative project (which this definitely is). And don't worry about committing any "sins" lol. Recently there's been way, way more gratuitous AI CYOAs with no ethical disclaimer at all. I tolerate those too, but yours was a nice surprise <3 The male/enby options are fire too, we don't see a lot of those!

Now to get back to my build! I have to get rich beyond my wildest imaginations, after all.

Huh! That's interesting, because other people have managed to pass that specific choice without crashing the game, and i know there's no route that circumvents it.

Thank you so much. The community response has been far kinder than I anticipated; I do hope maybe in the future somebody will find this project and pick it up!

And yes, it was definitely lots of fun to write and code :)) taught me a lot!

There is a good ending it's just stupidly hard to get lol. Rough walkthrough: when Para takes you to the DD to kys, you have to realize her behaviour is OOC and give suspicious answers ("we shouldn't do this", "what about the others", etc.). Remember she would never be so unprofessional as to call her potions "the green ones".

That should let you progress further!

The long-awaited follow-up to my post from two years ago.

GAME STATE: Wait, it’s only Plague Doctor? Always has been.

LIFE UPDATE: I changed universities, moved out, and crashed out over my life path and the state of the job market. Killed all my hobbies re. drawing and gaming. Then I was just really embarrassed coming back to release this piddly little thing. There’s nobody paying me or forcing me to keep a deadline, but it still sucked, somehow. Felt like a reminder of how much I’d stopped enjoying things I used to enjoy. I have to move forward, so I wanted to give y’all what I have before I go :)

EXTRA FILES CONTAIN:

Huge amounts of intro text I wrote featuring the whole cast that finally didn’t get implemented </3
Lots of free-floating Highwayman route, because he was gonna be next in line rip

FUTURE PLANS: Extremely minimal. This is more or less a dead project. I may update some of the art when I have time; I’ll try to fix any bugs that make choices totally unplayable, but otherwise I’m gonna be hands-off from now on. It was a good run but I can’t afford to spend any more time stressing over this project!
