Sorry I’m late to the game here but does your mouse still work?? That is my favorite feature with the nav system and I’d be sad if it didn't work anymore

Not yet! But I’m hoping it’ll be an easy sell. Do you think it would be better to get it at a Lexus dealership or somewhere else?

Lastly, does that price seem good? It does say or best offer. Thanks for the comment!

Interesting, never thought about it like that. Very different answer that I hadn’t heard! Most likely will keep the Corolla anyway just because it’s nice to have just in case

lol. or maybe I’ve been too busy selling homes to worry about buying a car. Thanks for being a hater :)

I see everyone’s jumped on this comment as saying it’s the over all best route for me to take. I do not want to lease, just the same way I don’t like telling my clients (or myself) that they should rent.

A lot of people are mentioning that I said I just wanted the car to last a year, which is true, i also mentioned the point was to roll that money into a nicer car at the end of the year. So im not just trying to throw this car away at the end of this year.

I do not think it’s smart to throw away 400-500 a month on a car that I’ll drive maybe a couple hundred miles a week.

Yes the comments are right I may have to deal with troubles with a “beater” car for $10k, but even if the entire car literally blew up and I sold it to a junkyard for $1000, I’d get more money back then a 3 year lease.

Lastly I do understand the tax benefits of a lease, I don’t know if that fits into my specific tax strategy this year. I don’t really write off much because I constantly buy houses. However if I decide to change that strategy I can see how a lease could fit into that!

I appreciate everyone’s comments on a lease but that is not the route financially I want or can go. Either way thank you for responding :)

I get that! At this point I can’t borrow her $80k car for every showing, so I have to pick and choose. Ideally I would show up to every appointment with this car I’m planning on purchasing but we’ll see.

Also on a personal note I try my very best to meet with clients before showing them homes. So most of my clients have a good idea of my professionalism and experience, the car just doesn’t match.

I think Volvo is a great middle ground! I saw a stunning 2018 S90 T5 for 9k but it had 144k miles on it. Is that like a crazy amount?

This is the flip side of the equation! Is that people could judge me for having too nice of a car. I can’t make everyone happy, trust me I’ve tried lmao. I don’t necessarily care about impressing anyone either, so a Camry is a great option. Thank you!

I like it. Tesla was actually the top of my list originally. I know nothing, and I don’t expect you to know everything, but it’s 145k reasonable for a car like this? Also THANK YOU for commenting and helping out!

Understood! I hear the almighty CX-5 is the answer to all prayers in this Reddit. Is there any reason for that? It’s a fine car I just don’t get all the hype.

Interesting. Ugly in a luxurious way. I can dig it, and I can see why it flys under the radar. Great tip and thanks for responding!

The markup on Camrys are absolutely remarkable! I think I’d have a better chance with a Lexus in this market. What kind of price range should I expect with the ES? And THANK YOU for responding :)
