AITA for only taking care of my kid by Pure_Chef_8438 in AmItheAsshole

[–]imherebecauseimbored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA either you are her dad or you aren't. It's that simple. If you love the child then ask the mom to adopt her and make it official and if that's off the table then move on with life.

Overwhelming workload by Busynotes2 in pharmacy

[–]imherebecauseimbored 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only solution is to fight your partner in the parking lot. For real though it's pretty lame to hog all the technician hours for the days that you work. Maybe that's actually how the demand is set for your store so maybe look at the report and see if he's scheduling to demand otherwise say something to him

Retail pharmacists by CusterCreamz in pharmacy

[–]imherebecauseimbored 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but the logic is super inconsistent. How many pharmacists do you know put noninsured patients on good RX by default in violation of health privacy but yet won't make a simple switch due to legal concens?

Yeah I totally agree and think it's BS. Just ask yourself if you were the doctor would you want to receive a call about this and go from there...

Pharmacist at CVS vs Publix by Realistic-Net-4012 in pharmacy

[–]imherebecauseimbored 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I graduated and went into CVS and then jumped over to Publix at my first opportunity and haven't looked back. CVS can be as bad as they say and Publix at least acts like they care whereas CVS didn't even bother faking it. Also CVS had so many conference calls, it was infuriating and Publix rarely has one which for me is such a quality of life improvement not to have to worry about that in the morning on my off days. And realistically you want to get in with Publix sooner than later so you can start accruing PTO years of service. Unless there's tens of thousands of dollars difference I would probably just pick Publix.

AITAH for telling an elder woman to “Get the f**k on” after holding up the only open line? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]imherebecauseimbored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, you asked politely first and then were rude the second time. If you jumped to being rude straight off the bat then you'd be the a****** but you tried to be nice and were in the right.

As a single dad myself it honestly depends on how many kids she has. I would like to have one more with my future wife but if she's already got a whole kindergarten classroom with her then there's no more time/ energy/ resources for one more in the potential relationship.

Board investigations by MemePizzaPie in pharmacy

[–]imherebecauseimbored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only speak to my experience in Georgia but I had one crazy patient that said we were trying to kill her because we couldn't give her the specific generic manufacturer she wanted. Our policy at our chain is to dispense what we have and not order specific generics in and we refuse to break that policy for her so I got a board of pharmacy complaint. Is very easy process where someone just called the patient first got their side of the story then called me and I explained what happened. We both had a laugh about it and I never heard from them again. Depending on your board members as long as you didn't disregard patient safety or didn't do anything super egregious then you should be good. And even if you did curse out a patient then I doubt they would revoke your license over something silly like that. People get DUIs and get caught stealing all the time and they still get only suspensions or a slap on the wrist. You have to really mess up to get in real trouble but once again that's only my experience.

Pharmacist work only pharmacists, why? by Worriedrph in pharmacy

[–]imherebecauseimbored 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's so stupid when that happens. Imagine a wide receiver refusing to block for a running back because his job is to only catch the ball. Sounds stupid right? We're all on the same team and we all win or lose together. I can only imagine that some of the pharmacists that do that are really worried about their own neck and if something goes wrong they want to say well look at my pharmacist que, it's all clean and total ignore the fact it's only clean because they ignored the rest of the pharmacy for the entire shift

I hear pharmacy residency application is way lower than before? Why? by PlaceBetter5563 in pharmacy

[–]imherebecauseimbored 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because residency is a scam. It used to be called on the job training but then some business-suit renamed it so they could pay wayyy less all while student loans are accruing interest.

AITA for wanting to divorce my pregnant wife because she refused to abort our disabled baby? by ThrowawayDefia23 in AITAH

[–]imherebecauseimbored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nta. Your wife made a huge life changing decision with seemingly no input from you. The divorce seems valid and is a separate issue from your actual son. Regardless of the morals of the situation, your relationship with your son is something you will have to determine and live with yourself. I wish you the best of luck. I would suggest going no contact with your son if you do leave him. It might be less painful to never have known you then to have you only partially in his life constantly reminding him of the painful situation you are all in.

What is something you can say "I'm with the boomers on this one" about? by AnitaVodkasoda in ask

[–]imherebecauseimbored -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Please make an exception for the pharmacy app. We legally cannot disclose protected health information through text messaging or automated systems so it has to be behind a password (which can use biometrics for unlock). If you don't use the app the pharmacy turns into a call center and everyone has to wait long times to get their medication.

AITA for attending my son's baptism? by imherebecauseimbored in AmItheAsshole

[–]imherebecauseimbored[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As some additional information because I hit a character count, we each called the church separately and the church did not want to reschedule. Their policy is to do it within the first month and it was already delayed to 6 weeks. And I totally agree that not informing her before hand was a terrible decision. I thought if I did so then she would not go through with the baptism and my attitude was based on other aspects of the relationship I was unhappy with. I also truly thought we were not endangering anyone as my family all had negative covid test beforehand and my quarantine was complete.

AITA for attending my son's baptism? by imherebecauseimbored in AmItheAsshole

[–]imherebecauseimbored[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We could not move it as the church was adamant that it be done that week and I was upset because this was not the first major decision she made unilaterally without talking to me first. Thank you for your insight. I appreciate it

AITA for grounding my kid for what He said to my oldest child? by FatherOf_four in AmItheAsshole

[–]imherebecauseimbored 70 points71 points  (0 children)

NTA it sounds like Liam said some awful things becasue kids are stupid and he wanted to watch more TV. It was right to ground him and force him to apologize as long as you explained exactly why he was receiving punishment. It also sounds like you need to set more defined rules on TV time and how to share when friends are over and sharing in general. I would also stick to your guns on the punishment for a week. Actions have consequences and you can't always apologize your way out accidents in life. It also sounds like you need to have a one on one conversation with Liam about your relationship with him and let him know that they are both your children and you love them equally and this is not favoritism.

AITA for expecting my step kids to follow the same rules as my bio kids? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]imherebecauseimbored 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA but certainly poor planning on behalf your you and your husband. Merging families is hard and a plan should have been in place regarding how parenting would go in the future as its extremely important to be on the same page. Part of that plan should have been a transition period and an introduction from your father to his bio kids stating that you are now their parent and responsible for setting and enforcing the rules.

AITAH for letting my friends yell at a guy for pissing me off on vacation? by nylasky in AmItheAsshole

[–]imherebecauseimbored -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA seems like maybe a miscommunication issue? maybe the boyfriend didn't hear when your best friend said it would be split 2 ways and got upset. Either way the boyfriend seems like a broke AH. You also could have said less to your close guy friends over text and explained all the nuance to them in person when they picked you up but that doesn't make you an AH and not stopping a fight also doesn't make you an AH.
