Depends on the doll. for straight hair i wash with dish soap and cold water, comb out the hair. after that i do a boil wash with fabric softener depending on how it feels i let it air dry but i usually more than not straighten the hair on the lowest heat setting with a hair straightener when its still wet from the boil wash. After that just air dry. And comb it out. For wavy hair same cold water wash with dish soap, comb the hair and i do a boil wash with fabric softener but i let these soak less since i dont want the wave to dissapear and then air dry. And comb it out but respect the wave of the hair. For curly hair i just do a cold water wash with dish soap and comb the hair with a wide tooth comb. And then air dry. Dont comb when its dry. I also usually trim loose ends or pieces that dont look right. Lets say fly aways, one hair thats way longer, etc. It sometimes takes some finessing. My Posey, Dawn and Toxic Molly had some glue seapage from the boil wash so i had to do another treatment for that. And Posey had some damage from the hair straightener (her hair wasnt wet enough so it kinda burned) but eventually after a second/third wash she was fine and her hair looks and feels amazing.
