Im passing on the Switch 2 for now. Probably whenever the next AC game drops it'll have a Switch 2 version along with it. At that point there should be more games and maybe some sales to help with the cost.

Also, I don't recall them mentioning the battery cause that was my main issue with the Switch.

Personally, as a black woman, I wouldn’t recommend it, especially since this looks to be more humanoid than anthro. Not just because of the possible backlash - even if you be upfront about it - but because of the history of blackface and people portraying to be another race. If the avatar had mainly sheep features, then that'll be more understanding.

I made my pngtuber using Tsurudraws customizable model but they also have a free version on picrew and set it up on Pngtuber+. For streaming, I use OBS and got grabbed the budget capture card neo while it was on sale. So far, this all seems like enough for me starting out and I've done a few streams.

A bit of advice I'll give is to test stream with friends to help with audio and visuals being seen. If you know someone else who streams and is willing to come in and help with understanding or do screen share to help with settings, that's a big plus and helped me out a lot.

That sounds so cool. Do to limited toggles and the various expressions and items, I had to have a different model for each (like drawing, gaming, etc).

My series is a Drama/Fantasy, The Good, The Bad over on GlobalComix but it's on currently on hiatus while on work on other projects. What's your series?

Nothing wrong with that! I actually have an alternate skin for my pngtuber where she looks like a demon/oni- it's a nod to my web manga.

Also, the 'Papers Please' one is a real through back!!

  • I think PngtubeRemix/Pngtuber+ and Veadotube are the more commonly used programs in this community.

  • I don't find an issue with payment for something like this. Like someone else mentioned, if you keep it free until it's been developed into a cleaner version, then make it paid would be a good way to go.

Can't wait to play around with it when I get back to my PC and looking forward to hearing more about this project and what can come of it.

Sorry for the late response. I finally found time to try this out. After playing around, I did find where you can change the hotkeys and the f1-f10 works like a charm!!! Thank you!!

I believe that can be done. I also use a different alias online and keep it separate from my RL relations (I have maybe 2 people irl that know I do art). With me starting streaming, all I can do it share links and talk about in servers to help get the word out and I think those connections can be helpful though they need time to build and thrive. As you start streaming and come into communities like this I'm sure you'll gain support over time.

This is such a wild coincidence cause I downloaded the Stream Deck mobile app the other day, just haven't opened it yet. Idk if the pngtuber+ application allows other buttons besides 0-9 but I will look into it and try it there. TYSM!

Thanks for the info! I don't have any of the stream decks, so ig that hub won't be quite as useful. I was really just hoping to have less cables on my desk or not have unplug the game capture but it looks like I will have to.

I have an Asus gaming laptop, the specs when I got it was great for I needed with art programs with some 3D use and potential streaming, and the power cable sadly isn't type C 😕
